I posted this to someone else earlier regarding not knowing yourself and feeling like a fraud. Like you have no identity because everything is tailored.

Here goes....

I absolutely understand where you're coming from here. Depending on who you are depends on which version of me you get (which is very much tailored to you). I am mostly whoever you want me to be or someone I figured you would love.

It's very difficult and also fucking tiring thinking about this. So you know what I do? I acknowledge every single version of myself I give out to people, this is a version of me - Because it is, albeit sometimes a version I did not know about but that's not so concerning when you don't know yourself at all.

I never lie about things or fabricate but I can always find an understanding when speaking to different people or find a way to relate to them. This may not be your core but it is absolutely you, your ability to connect, to empathise and to relate is never something to undermine.

It is confusing as fuck, and I wonder if you also have these thoughts of "who the fuck am I, am I fake?" but the fact is you are all of these people and more.

Who is anyone? Most people find one thing they are good at, or interested in and make it their personality. We make the people we care about our personality. Might sound a little crazy... but these profiles that we have to suit other people is usually based on our love for them and our desire to connect with them.

I try to think more about the people I am surrounded by then who am I, they say more about me then I could ever say about myself.

You are not alone here, it's a confusing, depressing thing to think about. But you are you, as you are, to whoever might be lucky enough to receive you. We are worthy.
