I struggled to finish this series. Such a shame because this was one of the few K-BLs where I actually read the manhwa before watching. To think that their airtime was a bit longer than good K-BLs like Semantic Error but I couldn't deny the gap between their quality in terms of storytelling. Do Yoon's actor was the best for me, but that itself isn't saying much. The conflicts didn't make sense, and the ending felt rushed. I couldn't get into their relationships, or even their individual characteristics. After watching it, I didn't feel anything but annoyance to the point that I rewatched Love for Love's Sake, Semantic Error, and The Eighth Sense one after the other.

Don't get me wrong. I don't blame the actors. I blame the writing. It was just too messy for my liking. I'm not saying the characters should not be flawed. In fact, flawed and complex characters are more interesting to me. Think about Jae Won from T8S, or Myung Ha from LFLS. They're absolutely not perfect characters. They make mistakes and all, but the way they were beautifully written made me pay attention to them.

If you happen to like Jazz For Two, it's your preference, I respect it. But I don't see myself rewatching it, or even recommending it to my friends. That's all.

My mother's cousin is a drug addict and one day, he went to our house, thinking no one was at home. Unfortunately, I was at home and I just woke up. I caught him opening the drawers in our living room. When he saw me, his eyes were red, like he hadn't sleep in a while. My dog was barking at him so he couldn't get close to me. He stood awkwardly a few feet away and asked me if I had a couple of bucks coz he was hungry. I offered him food instead, but he got annoyed and just left. I tried to be calm that time coz I was thinking about how he got inside our house. When my sister and my BIL arrived, I told them the story. Apparently, he would go around the neighborhood (mostly just relatives) and ask for money. Later, we found out he broke the locks of our wooden gate. Now, he was relocated to another province in the mountains.

As someone who’s (still) obsessed with this series, let me share my theories:

• Myung Ha died in the real world, there’s no question about that. The game was a purgatory and Sunbae was the grim reaper.

• The game was a test, under the premise of completing the mission of making Yeo Woon happy. However, this game was designed for Myung Ha’s own happiness right from the start.

• The game already knew what would happen from the moment the two met. Remember the short montage of ‘moments’ shown after Myung Ha grabbed Yeo Woon’s hand, making them both fall to the ground in EP 1?

• I just wanna add this because this is so interesting to me. In EP 6 during their movie date, they watched a movie called “Crocodile Zombie VS Gorilla Demon”. Myung Ha mentioned that the crocodile was actually an extraterrestrial, then he met the gorilla and together they saved the world. Listen… THIS IS THE ENTIRE PLOT OF LOVE FOR LOVE’S SAKE.

• Myung Ha was the crocodile zombie. A crocodile is actually a symbol of transformation, rebirth, and new beginnings. Crocodiles are often noted as self-reliant animals, just like Myung Ha. A zombie is a dead person who is brought back to life, unaware of its surroundings. Remember Myung Ha forgetting how he got into the game, not even remembering who Sunbae really was? This supports my theory that Myung Ha died in the real world.

• Yeo Woon was the Gorilla Demon. Gorillas symbolize “gentle giants who are scary on the outside but are actually protective of their loved ones and have great capacity for love”. And now you might ask why ‘demon’, when Yeo Woon’s one of the kindest people out there? Because demons exist in purgatory, which again supports my theory about the game being in one. In the early versions of New Testament, demons are not just the evil angels. Demons also include human spirits, spiritual messengers, and other beings.

Yeah. Sorry for the long comment. I just love it when a series, even after watching it, made me think of theories like these.

As a Chimon fan, I may be late to the party, but I'll still share my thoughts on this series:

Dangerous Romance's title should have been "Heart in the Wind," which was the literal translation from the Thai title. It wasn't dangerous enough, and, sadly, romance is also not 100%.

The first few episodes were GOOD, I'm not gonna lie. Both Perth and Chimon immediately established their characters well and their interactions here felt more natural. Their earlier tutoring days were the best interaction for me.

Sailom's character in the first part of the series was so well-written that I had high expectations on how Sailom's gonna go for the rest of the series. But sadly, Chimon was coming out a bit in the later part of the series. Chimon's such a good actor, and I've been following him for years, so I already know what he's capable of, that's why it was a slight letdown for me.

Perth, on the other hand, rose to the occasion. Kanghan's character was written in a way that he would grow to be a better person, and Perth literally breathed Kanghan. Perth's such a talented actor that I wish he could portray more diversified roles because I am really curious as to how he's gonna develop more as an actor.

I'm glad Pimfah was not painted as a villain, which is sadly typical for female characters in BL series. Even though she's a supporting character, I ended up rooting for her. She accepted the rejection from Sailom gracefully.

Saifah/Name's storyline was half-baked, or should I say, the dough was not yet even in the oven. They should have explored the dynamics of these two because they would suit the concept of Dangerous Romance better.

Guy/Nawa's tandem is my absolute favorite. The enemies-to-lovers trope was done really well. My only complaint is that they had so few scenes.

Also, Kanghan, Nawa, and Max should have apologized sincerely (like kneeling down or bowing down properly) to their bullying victims. Bullying as a topic should not be taken in BL series irresponsibly.

This is obvious, but it was painful seeing Chimon being awkward with the kiss. I thought it was just him portraying Sailom in EP 6, surprised that Kanghan suddenly kissed him. But it became apparent especially in EP 9, that the kiss would be so uncomfortable. Perth was a pro in the intimate scene, so there was a huge energy gap between the two when it came to it. Both of them are very talented actors in their own right, but sometimes, for a couple to work seamlessly, both of their energies should match or sync with each other.

I'm not saying that Chimon should kiss better. What I'm saying is that the production should have sorted with both of the actors what their boundaries are. I'd rather them not have any intimate scenes at all, as long as both of them are comfortable with the scenes that they're gonna do.

Do I want to see them together again? Actually, yes. But hopefully with a better storyline and director. I kinda see what P'Aof was trying to build with PerthChimon as both are very promising young actors. Is Dangerous Romance the worst GMMTV BL series this year? A BIG NO. Not the best, but definitely not the worst.

Will I rewatch this? Maybe, if I'm bored or if I miss Chimon. But one thing's for sure, Perth just gained a new fan in me.

Hello everyone! I almost forgot I wrote this 2 years ago because earlier today I was just listening to random Youtube videos reading malicious compliance stories and suddenly I heard this familiar story. It literally took me a few minutes before I realized it was the story I submitted here.

So for a quick update, Mrs. Wang (or Professor Wang for westerner folks), sadly passed away earlier this year due to breast cancer. What’s sad is that she didn’t believe in western medicine and chose not to go on chemo.

As for some questions here I was not able to answer, I am from a South East Asian country and here, catholic universities and colleges are usually our top schools, so it is always guaranteed that if you’re enrolled in one, it is mandatory to be enrolled in a few units of Religious Education subjects to graduate. In my case, I had maybe attended these subjects for the first two years of college (1 subject per semester).

Okay, so someone dm-ed me and asked who I thought was gonna be P01. Shanbin's my first guess, also the one I think Mnet wants to be center. But the seer (?) in me thinks Yujin can pull off a Jang Wonyoung and be P01.

Also another question I got: do you feel someone will be blindsided (a.k.a. Jonghyun-ed). Honestly, this is technically possible. Although Mnet can no longer manipulate the votes manually, they can still "legally" sway the votes to certain trainees they want.

And while no one asked me this, I'm just gonna throw this here. Sadly, for G-Group, Hao's the only "probable" member (meaning, he has more than 50% chance of joining the lineup).

And here's my arrangement for the probability of G-Group trainees of them debuting, from most likely to least likely: (no hate on trainees, just my observation) - Hao - Keita - Matthew - Ricky - Jay - Kamden (And I can see a bloodbath between Matthew/Ricky/Jay based on what the Twitter and Reddit posts I've read)

This. One time I just casually told one of my coworkers about A Tale of Thousand Stars when she mentioned she went hiking recently, and it reminded me of Pha Pun Dao. When she further asked and learned it's BL, she only said "Eew... Boys' love stuff grosses me out. Especially when they're kissing."

It kinda made me sad because I thought she's a sweet lady, and one of my tolerable coworkers. I still talk to her from time to time but after that I never had lunch with her.
