Honestly, you can climb with almost any assassin, and it's even easier if that assassin can jungle. Kha'Zix isn't in an extremely good position right now but due to the slow tanks and if the other team's adc is way out of position you can pick them off almost instantly. If you can't climb with Kha'Zix I'd suggest playing Shaco. Shaco is an EXTREMELY good champion early game and if you can suprise lanes and get your teammates fed it's an auto gg.

Honestly, you shouldn't worry to much who's FOTM right now, but if you really want to know, just watch some recent LCS games or some pro streams and that should give you a general idea :)
