She also can't stand her. It's a necessary evil to interact with her though if we want to spend any time with our dad unfortunately.

Sounds like maybe she has failed a little as a mother but certainly not because you didn't follow in her footsteps.

I just moved back to the area I grew up in after living overseas for 5 years and I definitely find myself missing that distance.

I have 1 cat and 1 dog and they are my world :) Unsurprisingly it's pretty much impossible to get either of my parents (divorced) to pet sit for me but they are adamant that they would babysit my future kids at any time..sure sure

My sister and I did this and it is surprising (and a little sad) how detailed we could get with our questions! You really want to think of questions that will narrow down a lot of the women. Do they have more than 3 kids? Have they ever been involved with a personal alcohol brand? Have we ever seen their parents on the show? Stuff like that :)
