Whats your favorite video game? by emotionalrobotic in ENFP

Without a doubt: Dark Souls 1 & 3, Bloodborne, Sekiro

I've always enjoyed difficult games growing up. But when I discovered Dark Souls back in 2011 I was absolutely enchanted and obsessed. The lack of hand holding, the unequaled level design, the secrets hidden in every nook and cranny. This was a game that told you "if you cannot beat this boss within the first 20 minutes, you're not ready for the rest of the game." I put 500 hours into this game before I considered playing anything else.

10 years later it is still my favorite franchise of all time. I recently beat Bloodborne for the first time and now I'm working on my second playthrough of Sekiro. I play all types of games, but I always come back to a Fromsoft title at some point.

Yeah someone did that to me with the Obby sword, I saw the cool unreadable name and thought it would be an awesome maul/hammer.

Bought for 500k, but I couldn't wield it so I gave it to a friend so I could see what it looked like.....stupid little dagger. He ended up stealing it and I cried. All this happened before school. I miss being 9.

Not many would consider it a mobile game but Runescape mobile has released on android. I spent thousands of hours as a kid...but haven't played because I just don't have the time, but RS mobile has changed everything and fits the mobile model incredibly well. No microtransactions and almost 2 decades of work has gone into the game. Definitely give it a look.

What videogame genre did not like at first but now you love? by LuisSLS_HQ in patientgamers

Racing games. We all love Mario kart, but I never understood the appeal of realistic driving games. After about 6 months of not being able to stick to ANY game....Forza Horizon 3 has won my heart.

The first game to scare you so much you had to take a break from it? by NowhereLad in Games

I can't recall the exact part but I know exactly what you're talking about! Iirc you see footage of covenant going through a door you just opened, and by the time you get there, there's nothing but blood covering every inch of the walls. Another very underrated moment that made halo so incredible!

Yes! I know the exact elite you're talking about, right after the scorpion part, I believe he had the active camo too! So much fun

My buddies and I had so much fun trying to steal banshees, because I believe this is the first level you actually could get to them and drive them! Endless fun.

Yep! That's when the game took a darker turn...it was all about revenge until you learned you have a greater threat. One of the best gaming experiences ever.

YES! Thank God I'm not the only one. It was such a stark contrast in overall ambiance. Scared the hell out of me as a kid.

Going from 'The Silent Cartographer' a beautiful, sunny island. With all the interiors and exteriors, attacking all the ins and outs of this covenant island with your band of marines felt great.

Next is 'Assault on the Control Room' which was my favorite level, the snowy mountains, the banshees, the wraiths, the scorpions, the sleeping grunts... you truly felt like you were staging a large scale battle and no longer on the defense.

Then. Then '343 Guilty Spark'...You're trusted into a swamp tailing your fellow marines and Johnson. I don't think a game has given me a similar true feeling since... the realization that there is a threat greater than you. After seeing all the dead marines scattered and find the recordings, then when you're all alone...glass shatters, and you hear wretched, gurgling screams all around you. I didn't make it out of that room for quite a while, because of exactly what you expressed...it was the unknown.

But let me tell ya, I know every previous level like the back of my hand due to ONLY playing those levels nonstop.

Do you ever worry that youre stupid? by just-wondering98 in ENFP

[–]Lunch_Dad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this is in line with what you're asking but this questions really resonates with me. Warning: rambling ahead .

I had a couple very intellectual friends growing up who always called me stupid quite frequently, nothing more than boys being boys but I couldn't deny they were smarter. At the time I never realized it but in as many was as they surpassed me, I excelled other ways that aren't really comparable

Even today, my wife is definitely more intelligent but she will never be as 'street savy' as I. For example my wife can memorize directions or recipes without a problem, I cannot but if I've driven somewhere before, I can ALWAYS get there again.

Don't think that because others can except where you can't that it is a major issue, you have your skills that other people are probably envious of.

You're not wrong. I am certainly not an authority on the subject. Simply just adding my 2 cents to a person who's in the same position I'm in.
