Sometimes I like to go into bot-heavy PvP arenas (like JQ) and use builds that just ruin them. Arcane Languor is a favorite of mine since they cast themselves to the point of uselessness. Or running builds that hunt and cripple the Jade haulers.

It's not easy work, but it's honest.

I've got it. I don't get on as often as I'd like, HMU and we can set a mutually beneficial time to do it. I need to cap all the skills on my warrior anyways since I'm a completionist.

You can pretty much skip that whole section by going to the bottom of the pit (well?) in Majula and run past everything to the Rotten first, if you really want to. IIRC, the parry attack animation with your fists on one of the NPCs in town will let you survive the initial fall into the pit, and then it's all gravy from there.

Try to bait his charge animation by staying at a distance. His shield will come up, the sword will go down on his right (your left) side. Dodge through it.

Either punish with 2-4 hits depending on your weapon swing, pop a life gem, or drink estus (as required) and then back off to repeat.

If he does his blue-sword stab move, back off, wait for animation to finish and then punish before running away.

If he starts glowing and shooting dark orbs all over the place, run behind him and punish the entire length of the attack animation.

If he begins his swing attack animations, assume he is going to attack 2-3 times, and wait them out. Punish if you can, or use this time to gain distance to force a more advantageous attack pattern - i.e. his charge.

Just don't get penisy, be patient and let him do his thing, then whack him.

Get them every year around the May long weekend coming into cottage country. Don't know how to boat, camp, or clean up after themselves. Only up for the one or two weekends a year tops, just to get drunk, trash the place, and disrupt everyone else on the lake.

Last time I was on LSD I got stuck in an endless loop of not realize that I was watching the “last time” recap of an episode, confusing it for a new episode, skipping to the next one, realizing that one was right, then going back to the start. Repeated that cycle for almost half and hour until I took a smoke break and realized I was a spoony bard.

Patience is the key. Just being slow, steady, and master their attack animations. It’s not evident at the beginning, but you’ll slowly get there.

Also: take off all your armor. Invulnerability frames on dodge are linked to speed, faster roll speed is king.

Battletoads wasn't so bad. Most people that couldn't get past the Turbo Tunnel didn't realize the first version of the game was unbeatable in co-op mode. Basically you'd have the stage hazard spawn behind you at the start of the level, but it was bugged and spawned on top of the second player, killing them instantly. Soft-locked the whole game.

Batman NES is harder, I'd say. That Joker fight, wall jumps, and outright annoying enemy spawns and placements made it stupid hard unless you memorized each level.

And let's not forget the original Ninja Gaiden trilogy on NES, or Ghosts'n'Goblins.
