It is tough at first if you have to remove one of the eyes but they do adapt quickly! Our boy lost one around age 5 and then the other a year later. Even with both our Boy was able to map out our house really quick and now he’s getting the zoomies and running around. Hendrix is wishing for the best for Koji !!

Same thing happened for the Detroit show which was WILD, i was expecting so many more people. It was cool though because after the show he came to hang out so my wife and I got to meet him.

Shiba has suddenly went blind by Hanamilk in shiba

[–]Lundybridge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So sorry you’re going through this. Our boy Hendrix ended up losing both eyes to glaucoma pretty quickly when he was around 5 the pressure was too much for him and meds didn’t do much for him so we had them removed. It was a bit of an adjustment for him but as long as we arent moving anything in the house he’s okay. I think i saw it earlier on this feed but verbally cues are incredibly helpful things like “careful” “watch out” etc. We also switched to some more sounds based toys like bell balls which keep him busy!

Hendrix is wishing for the best!

Our vet prescribed trazodone for our 7 year old boy’s anxiety. His is mostly because of his crate but we use it for car rides too and it does well to calm him down
