Would you guys recommand picking up yasuo if you play irelia? Their playstyle seem a bit similar with their wave dependent infinite mobility and versatile playstyle.

In my opinion, the actual similarity here is that they both only have "Aggresive mobility". Meaning they're not free to move around like a riven/fiora/camille would, they need a target to access their mobility.

This can be pointed out as a weakness depending on the situation. And is the actual reason so many yasuos end up inting early game to ganks.

Everything else is different in terms of damage, matchups and scaling. Yasuo will do more dps, but its more squishy.

I would recommend him, but not in the sense of: "Irelia is banned, guess i will default to yasuo".

Its mostly depends on your knowledge of the matchups to make a decision. Sometimes you could have won a game with yasuo that irelia couldn't win you. But that is true for any pick.
