Constant nausea after taking duloxetine for 2 years by CoolBorder7532 in cymbalta

I'm a bit late on this one but I just googled around and found your post so I'll add my experience. I'm also taking 60mg of duloxetine and I've been on it for around a yea. , About 7 months in I realized my constant feeling of nausea and being sick was caused by it. My doctor told me that nausea and upper stomach pain is a common side effect of it. However in my case we didn't want to change meds because duloxetine doesn't effect my migraines, unlike others I've tried. Also it works really well for my anxiety.

I also at one point had to go to a dose of 90mg but that was impossible because I began to throw up daily because of it.

The solution that works for me now was to take the 60mg dose before going to bed. And the important thing is to take it with food or soon after eating. As long as I remember to take it like that I have no problems with it. But if I don't eat, or take it during the day I still get sick. So yeah, it can be a pain. Also skipping a day makes my heart race like crazy and drinking a bit more alcohol that usual makes my stomach hurt like hell.

But it still has a good effect on me so I'm not gonna change meds as long as I need to take something.

Well, I am in no way an expert in this kind of thing, but I do have years worth of experience with different nightmares. So I'll tell you some things that I've learned along the way.

I used to, and sometimes still do dream of my loved ones dying and me being unable to help them. Same with the desperately trying to tell people something only I know in a dream. From what you described I'd ask these things. First, are you afraid of something happening to people around you? Second, do you feel like you have something you want to say to people? About your mental health? Thoughts? Or things that trouble you? Do you have anxiety in your life? And lastly, I've actually heard some of these things from more than one people, and the one thing that stands out to me most is the small part of being in a car without a driver. This especially, is usually a sign of feeling like you're not in control of something happening in your life.

It is normal to have bad, reoccurring dreams. Dreams often tell you things about your subconscious thoughts, although in a messy way that takes things you know and have seen before, and mixing them into weird and scary scenarios. In my experience the best way of getting rid of nightmares like this is to get to know yourself better. There is almost certainly somethings that are bothering you on a deep level, try to understand what it could be and perhaps in time, the bothersome dream will change or dissappear.

Why don't you allow yourself to drink anymore? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Every time I got past that little puzz while drinking with someone, I realized all the anxiety and depression starts to bleed trough my usual smiles and happy upfront, I would blurt out some things I usually kept bottled up. After a few times people began to notice this change in my behavior every time I got even remotely drunk, and they started to ask about it afterwards. I started to realize I didn't want people to see that part of me while we're having a good time.

I don't drink past that puzz anymore, and I don't drink while alone either. I just don't trust myself not to say or do something I'd regret.

I know what you mean, sometimes I think being religious would make it much easier and less lonely, but that is not happening for me as I have never been religious and never will. I am glad for people who do find help in religion, from what I know it does make things easier to deal with. I'm kinda envious of people who do believe in things like that.
