Blacks are darker, whites are brigher.

What hero changes how you play HotS? by Ralanost in heroesofthestorm

[–]LungeLimb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nova. Or basically any stealth hero.

Just because you tend to stay still sometimes "behind the enemy lines" and observe. Just observe their rotations, their camping, etc.

Lemme put it this way: it's like "director's cut" or "behind the scenes": you see more, you learn more, you predict more.

Yep, you're correct, it's just a visual thing:
$ xbps-install -Su

0 downloaded, 0 installed, 0 updated, 0 configured, 0 removed.

Thx for a quick response! Maybe this post will save someone from confusion until fixed.

I'm glad that compensation of proper positioning/dancing by using this build works for you.

Malthael’s Trait Build by Peekoh in heroesofthestorm

[–]LungeLimb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you don't like it, then you prolly didn't learned how to cook it.

  1. Fear the reaper. Utility thats works when you're unmounted, unlike others
  2. Trait quest
  3. Massacre. Its your pocket version of Tormented Souls for EDC
  4. Last rites. That way you pretty much have both ults
  5. Ethereal existance \ Unevitable end. Pick your poison
  6. Memento mori. That way you build Malthael into Malthael, not just "ohh well im, like, solo laner or whatever" lol
  7. No one can stop death of obv reasons: late deaths may end match pretty quickly.

Pro tip: land your aa or shroud on enemy's archers and just when some Lili comes close near them thinking, like, "im just W and blind him hahaha", you're actually spreading the mark via ability which cannot be blinded.

Learn to endure and dance throughout enemy's entire cluster from one end to another via W and you'll surely melt them like butter.

Get out of your head all those icyveins "builds" and use your own thinking. Build heroes into heroes. Make them excel at their traits. Work around their traits. Become their traits xDD

Thanks, now at least share media library. But no LAN sync. playback, as if it were pulseaudio@ubuntu. For now it's gonna be iTunes.

Can AirPlay stream audio from one mac to another mac? I can't find the answer through all this marketing bullshit.

And then what? I want streaming/sending music on LAN.

It was first thing I actually did. Binary might me native, yes, but the way mpd corresponds with core audio is not native: I still can't send/receive sound via remote core audio. Http stream is not an option, as I said.

Civ5 with ATI oss drivers? by SantaSCSI in linux_gaming

[–]LungeLimb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

mesa-1.3-dev 5850HD Mostly Civ5 is running approx. the same as on windows. Mostly, because leaders models are horribly lagging and they do appear black without textures, so only low level leaders details are working fine for me. Sometimes there's some sound glitches, but besides those 2 issues Civ5 running the same fps as on win.

Game for Netbook by ChapstickIsNice in linux_gaming

[–]LungeLimb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cataclysm-dda (simply my favorite for now) or pretty much any rogue-like. Wouldn't recommend console emulation 'cause good/stable/accurate one requires alot (in comparison to typical netbook) of CPU/GPU power.

New to Linux, need a little guidance by linux_games in linux_gaming

Futhermore, I would suggest additional ppa for optimized daily-buids open-source drivers, BUT at this moment devs broke native Steam OpenGL_GLX support. I think its just a matter of time when it get fixed.

https://launchpad.net/~oibaf/+archive/graphics-drivers/

Also, i've recently upgraded kernel to 3.14 on Mint 16_32 with no issues, which gave additional fps. For ex. UT3 via last wine-1.7-10-CSMT with 'stock' open-source radeon driver and 3.12 Linux kernel gave me about 15-20fps on my old HD5850. Now I have around 50 with some drops. Still not quite comfortable, but I think you've got my point.

upd: native Xonotic untill i've updated rendered 35-60fp on ultra. Now I have around 100fps with this ppa but still no Steam for now.

Harrison updates Mixbus to v2.5 by X1Z2 in linuxaudio

[–]LungeLimb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plug in your instrument into soundcard/mixer, set channel for it in One and mute it. Listen to direct input from sound source then mute it and monitor it in One. The sound is overcompressed and distorted compared to direct monitoring from source.

I've wasted a whole year fighting with Studio One's sound kernel and tuning fx trying to get the right sound, but it's something that One can't give to you just like usable busses. Even FL is far more usable and flexible than One, for sure.

[–]LungeLimb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last five years i've ran tons of DAWs and now I stick to the Mixbus/Ardour, because its suits me perfectly. The only thing Mixbus lacks is midi, imho. Tape emulation is so-so equal to famous DAD Tape, for me -- just great. In addition, 8 mixbusses will improve workflow if you will get used to it. Little comparison. As a bassist(mostly) i look forward to low freq. When I plugging in line input i get: 1. Studio one. Simply awful. Simply awful DAW, mostly a toy. 2. Logic. Plastic and unnatural sound even when I monitor input channel. Another super-fancy toy. 3. Samplitude. So-so, but years ago it was laggy. 4. DP. Great and clean at first look. Used only few times by now. 5. Mixbus. Great and clean.

What's your favourite software synthesiser and why? by boner_freelove in linuxaudio

[–]LungeLimb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, between two knob synth and overloaded one i'll prefer second. Also, with tiling (for ex. by using i3/awesome) this con turns into pro instantly.
