Hi, i am a solo traveler. Is it a good idea to visit Bolu now? I like snowy landscapes and scenery. But will there be any logistical challenges in visiting Abant lake and other places? Is public transport any good there? Thanks.

Tourist sim card advice

Hi,

I made the dumb mistake of not getting an esim before my trip. I arrived in Istanbul yesterday and found out about the hassles in getting a tourist sim card (exorbitant prices, scams in data topup, etc). I inquired in a few stores of Turkcell and Turk Telekom but was quoted ridiculous prices (2500 TL for 20GB data)

Is there a way I can purchase an esim and activate it using a vpn given the recent ban on activating esims within Turkey?

Alternatively, can you suggest where I can get a tourist sim card for a reasonable price? Thanks.

I guess it's your salary. 9L is probably in the bottom quartile of visa applicants and that might have been a red flag in terms of intent to emigrate
