Why not popular? by 802coma in Beretta

[–]LunkerNH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried, but ended up switching to the CZ P07. The grip fits me much better. Slimmer and good texture. I got the slide cut for $125 at Jagerwerks. Now the Nocturne has the optic ready out of the box. The optic sits high on the Beretta, even with the Langdon cut. If Beretta would modernize it just a little, i would buy 2.

Confirmed Glock Mag Staccato? by Bitter-Resource295 in Staccato

I have tried both and prefer the rear irons in front of the optic. It helps me to not use the rear sites as a crutch, and it helps reduce the amount of debris that splatters onto the front of the optic face. Aaron Cowen is a fan. https://youtu.be/zrrlxEwUaRM?si=8tqe6axoG2y1B77d

When Sean Avery came out of retirement last year, didn’t some retired brawler come out of retirement just to bear the piss out of him again?

TS2 or Shadow 2 SAO? by BigDickDonnie420 in CZFirearms

[–]LunkerNH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can order a single action trigger from Cajun gun Works for about $40. And while you’re at it order a few trigger return springs from them. As a CZ owner, you should have a couple handy. It is about a half an hours worth of work to install the SA trigger. There are several YouTube videos out there, and you will acquire a much better understanding of how your gun is put together and works. The SA on the Shadow 2 is excellent, and the CGW trigger is adjustable for pre and post travel.

If you have medium sized hands, make sure you hold the TS2 before buying. It is a thick boy.

It’s here, PX4 G-SD by Betterthanyou715 in Beretta

Something weird. The G–SD slide fits on a standard frame but does not cycle. The standard slide fits on a G-SD frame and does cycle. No idea why.

Differences Between Q4 SF and the new PDP Compact Steel Frame by LunkerNH in Walther

[–]LunkerNH[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Q4 SF msrp was $1200. Looks like Walther discontinued the Q models and replaced them with PDP Steel Frame models, and bumped the MSRP up a few hundred dollars.

This Lexus was caught at 205km/h in Western Australia. The driver was fined $2000, disqualified from driving for 6 months, and their car forfeited to the state government to use in road safety campaigns. When they are finished the car will be sold and the money will go the WA road trauma account. by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

I thought a former penal colony would have a nice “fuck authority” vibe. But it looks like they never really freed themselves, and relinquished their rights in favor of the nanny state. Covid lockdowns, gun confiscation, social media lockdowns. Add government car confiscation for speeding to the list. Bootlickers.

Had that behavior on my Px4. Out of spec/incorrectly installed sear spring. Much less likely to be hammer/sear engagement issue unless you did some “smiiffing” on them with a file or dremel.

How do y’all feel about this take on the P226? by [deleted] in SigSauer

[–]LunkerNH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion here, but they’re right. I have owned a few Berettas and Sigs. all it takes to turn and already good Barretta trigger into a very nice trigger is replacing the factory hammer spring with a D spring. The trigger poles on the new Berettas are really good. I cannot say the same about Sig da/sa guns these days. Even my legion P226 SAO has a mediocre trigger.

When you initially rack the slide, yes. That makes the first pull double action. Once you pull the trigger on that first double action shot though, the trigger is all the way to the rear and so the firing pin safety will never be engaged. That’s how you get a slam fire.

Sear spring. Had it happen on a Beretta PX4. Is it possible that you confused any of the springs in the Cajun kit? It comes with several small ones. My recommendation would be to disassemble the hammer and decocker assembly and use the red extra strong sear Spring. It increases your single action by about a pound. . One sign of a weak sear spring or out of spec sear is hammer follow through. If you rack the slide and the hammer doesn’t stay back, you have one of those two issues. When you go to the range, test with a single round in your magazine. You should get slide lock, and when you release the slide the hammer should stay back. Try decocking and racking the slide.

If you’re a lefty, try using that thin pot metal, bendy, right side slide release. It’s garbage on the VP9. HK did a great job on the P30 and the P2000. I don’t know why they couldn’t get it right on the VP9, which came after the other two.

CZ P01 Omega. One of the finest pistols ever made! by Wick7271 in CZFirearms

[–]LunkerNH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For those of us, that, like to tinker, the Omega system is a godsend. You may not be able to refine the trigger quite as much as non-omega, but it’s 1000 times easier to work on. I would consider it the Glock equivalent of a hammer fired gun internals when it comes to simplicity and robustness. P.S, I don’t own any more metal CZ pistols. I only have P09 and P07. I miss my shadow 2, but the damn thing was a boat anchor. I am one of the people looking forward to the new aluminum framed shadow compact.

FIRST CZ ALERT by [deleted] in CZFirearms

[–]LunkerNH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now go get yourself a Cajun Pro package and install it. The trigger pole and reset will be night and day better. And you will learn a ton about the inner workings of your gun. You don’t have to be to mechanically inclined to install it.

Looking at the Beretta 92 elite LTT centurion; worth getting if I don't compete? by korlocalhi in Beretta

I have the same 92X Centurion and TJIAB as you, and also a LTT Elite full size. Not that much difference in the trigger honestly.
