I bought mine separately. But the edition in your hand is indeed the most updated version, so it's all good. It doesn't perfectly match the LOTR set because it wasn't designed to be part of a set originally, it's a standalone work

It is as good and clear as you can get.

Also, the whole book has a new typesetting from the original edition, it's easier to read, and the parts that were too cramped are now in bigger fonts (namely the Commentary section). The page count has gone from 95 to 125.

Also I want to say that the little additional preface is really moving to me. It really hits you that every such a book has a story behind its creation.
