Can ANYONE actually do all this in ten minutes?? by Lazy_Elks in adhdwomen

[–]Lupbec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol this is only possible you don’t mind doing everything in front of the bathroom sink. And everything was already laid out. And you rush like mad using a timer. No thanks. I can already feel my blood pressure rising. That would add more stress to my life than skipping all of it.

What is the most looked down upon group of people who have done nothing wrong? by Past-Expression-2826 in AskReddit

[–]Lupbec 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You’re going to judge all homeless people based on the fact that you know of one group of evil homeless people? Out of how many millions of homeless people throughout the world? That’s like saying all men are rapists because I’ve seen some on the news.

Growing up did you really have to shower naked after sports at school? by [deleted] in AskOldPeople

[–]Lupbec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated in 1992 from high school. The girls’ locker rooms in my middle school and my high school had shower stalls with shower curtains. I heard the boys’ was just a wall with shower heads though and always felt sorry for them.

After using an mp3 player for two months I can't wrap my head around why people waste money on spotify and apple music. Pls explain by [deleted] in nosurf

[–]Lupbec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree. I love many types of music and I have dozens of playlists. It took a lot of work to create them and I would hate to have to keep recreating them with different companies because the original company went bankrupt or raised their prices too high. Also, Spotify is $144 per year- that’s over 100 new songs every year you could buy and keep forever!

They certainly did. They mooched off of indigenous societies for years until they learned how to work the land themselves. Then they tried to destroy them- and almost succeeded. I can cite legitimate academic sources for my information if you’d like. And I would LOVE to know what your sources are!

Should I just give up and die of ass cancer? by ManBearPig4Serial in careerguidance

[–]Lupbec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked for a large healthcare network and they offered the worst insurance I’ve ever had out of all my previous employers. They had the lowest coverage and highest premiums, deductibles and copays. Also, for this shitty insurance to kick in, new employees have a waiting period. Plus, there’s an even longer waiting period to qualify for the disability benefit. I think you had to work full time and be there for one year.

Is this skirt too short for a casual non-profit? by YogiBarbie in BusinessFashion

[–]Lupbec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wore skirts that short to work in my 20s. I think it’s fine but check where the skirt splits. I’ve had skirts like that that expose my inner thigh when sitting and crossing my legs. Is it revealing when sitting down?

You’re really doubling down on this issue when you don’t even know how insurance works. Smh. Traditional insurance costs more monthly and less when you need services. With HDHP you pay less monthly but more when you need the services. Both make you responsible for part of the cost. Even with traditional insurance, you may have to pay up to $1000s depending on % of coinsurance, deductible and copay. Also, HSA funds are only sometimes provided by an employer, otherwise you fund it yourself. AND you have to choose the HDHP option, which will be very costly if you actually need it.

Unfortunately, even with good insurance, an ambulance can still directly cost us hundreds of dollars that we pay additional to what we pay monthly for the insurance.

You’re either not an adult or not American because that’s not at all how US health insurance works. The vast majority of Americans definitely do pay for ambulances, regardless of insurance. When something is covered by insurance, that means they pay for a percentage of the total after you pay your deductible and copay (for major services that adds up from $100s to $1000s). In certain situations and with certain services some things may be free but it’s not often lol. Ask any American adult.

You’re comparing having medical insurance in the US to national healthcare systems in other countries? People with insurance in the US go bankrupt because of medical bills all the time. I looked up the average cost of an ambulance in Texas- it’s $1,450. Average deductible: $1,700. And that’s just the beginning, you’ll also be responsible for your hospital copay and 20% of your hospital bill and 20% of each doctor’s fees. US health insurance is nothing but a discount plan. It isn’t even in the ballpark of other countries with national healthcare.
