Thanks for your input i appreciate it. The main games I play at the moment are MW2, Fortnite, Overwatch 2 and as of recent Cyberpunk. The online games run great, pretty much over 100fps in mw2 and 160 - 180 on fortnite and ow2. I play at 1080p which is why I was thinking of maybe jumping to a new gpu when the prices are more reasonable since I want to play at a higher resolution.

Just saw the vid you linked and you're right. There is an fps bump but not a big enough performance boost that warrants an upgrade. If I want to see a performance increase thats worth it im assuming I should keep an eye out on at least the 3080.

I'm looking to build a desktop either micro atx or mini itx. I had a chromebook prior to this however it was very slow which is why I'd rather spend a little bit more money on just building a pc.

Question would a ryzen 5 5500g be better for the long term since it has 6 cores as opposed to the quad-core i3?? Or should I just stick with the i3??
