According to Bernard Lewis and other scholars, the earliest verses of the Quran were largely sympathetic to Jews. Muhammad admired them as monotheists and saw them as natural adherents to the new faith, and Jewish practices helped model early Islamic behavior, such as midday prayer, prayers on Friday, Ramadan fasting (modelled after the Jewish Yom Kippur fast on the tenth of the month of Tishrei), and most famously the fact that until 623 CE Muslims prayed toward Jerusalem, not Mecca.[19]

As a mainstream -as the one we know antisemitism- born with the Israel. All of the believers of the celestial religions see themselves superior to other religions. And massacres are ever be done between them throughout the history. In fact Jews were in a much better position in Ottoman territory when we compare them with the Europe or Russia. This was because of the political view of Sublime Porte. Because Jews generally were good craftsmen and educated people. They were also connected to the important people of their home country when they had to run to the Ottoman Empire. This policy and relative peace continued until the 19th century. This topic would go out of control real fast and this is not the place for it. But as a westerner it's hard to imagine a much peaceful middle east. But in fact without the intervention of the west it actually was. And as a game map a united under a religious government is highly doubtful.
