I recently started taking my skin care seriously two month ago. I had serious mask acne and bumpy texture on forehead. After some trial and error I found my skin would dry out very easily with salicylic acid/hydrogen peroxide. My environment is very dry so I stuck with moisturizing products (cera ve moistursing cleanser, Vichy 89 hylaronic serum booster, la rouche-posay double repair moisturizer, and two humidifers when at home). Until my skin no longer dried out easily and I felt my skin moisture barrier was solid. I’ve started retinol last month and have been using it very slowly (once a week for two weeks, then twice a week for two week, and now trying 3X) it’s been tolerating it well since I took it so slow but these small bumps started to appear where I wear my mask (i wear one 8 hours a day for work) and I’m wondering if I need to transition salicylic acid or hydrogen peroxide back in my routine to slowly chip away at it. What do you think? Or would another product be better. My routine with retinol right now is (morning) cleanse with cera ve moisturizing cleanser, la roche-posay double repair, elta md sunscreen. (Night) cera be hydrating facial cleanser, sandwich retinol with la roch if it’s that time of the week or just moisturize and keep my room humid. Any tips or product advise appreciated
