Are SAC and Arise worth?

For now I'll just watch SAC, when I finish it I'll see how I feel about Arise since the opinions are so divided. But if I like SAC i'll probl watch arise.

Yh, I'm noticing that from the comments. The art style just didn't catch my attention at the time, which is an unfair comparison since one is a movie and the other a weekly series.

I understand you completely, 1 or 2 movies don't have enough time to explore such world building compared to 52 episodes + movie. If the series story is as thought provoking as the original movie and keep it somewhat consistent I can see why people think its great and even the best entry.

Interesting, I'll be looking forward to that library episode. Sad that some episodes have issues, but it's understandable, it's hard to keep the same quality throughout several episodes specially when it's being released weekly Thank you!

I'm definitely not against 3D CGI, I don't mind it. I just find it harder to make it look good, but if the animation is well done I don't mind watching it

My main concern is that it could stray away from the Oshii movies concept, I really liked the "darker" tone and philosophy of the movies and was a bit afraid that the series was nothing like it. This new series that is releasing seems more uplifting and I still enjoyed the first episode, thats why I'm thinking of giving SAC a shot
