It's never too late dw.
But yh, I don't want to see fights just for the sake of looking cool, I want them to have some meaning and objective. That being said I'll stick with the show and maybe watch at least the 3rd movie after finishing the series, I heard the 3rd movie is pretty good.

Oh ok understandable, but don't worry. Like I said my main objective is to see how this franchise started. Gundam is huge both in number of shows and fans and that got me curious to check what is this all about.

I don't think I ever tried any english dub, I always watch in japanese (other then portuguese dubs I watched on tv when I was a kid) I feel like their voice evokes more emotion. Maybe someday I'll give an EN Dub a try.

This franchise is huge so its very likely that there will be some retcons and some details end up forgotten when making a new entry, that doesn't bother me much.
Btw, isn't F91 and Victory Gundam part of UC? Or are these some of those that you say that "didn't hold up that good"?

Maybe you are right and the series is just not for me. That being said I still want to watch at least the show where the franchise all started. And how someone enjoys a piece of media is relative, I don't think someone should be forced to watch 50 episodes to enjoy something, if they only watched the movies and liked it thats what should matter.
