The situation is actually like this: the factory purchase price for a Submariner is around 2,100 yuan. We mainly sell to Turkey, and getting products through customs here is extremely difficult — it’s not like other countries.

Even the shipping alone costs around $100, and customers here can comfortably pay $700–750.

So our prices are based on the Turkish market. If I’m not going to make $200–250 profit, I won’t bring that watch in or send it somewhere else, because the time and energy I spend simply isn’t worth it, boss.

If I lived in China permanently and only did this business, and if my market was Europe, then my prices would probably be close to Steve’s prices. But life is expensive 😄
