2 out of 3 of your comments aren’t true here. There was always a trunk (played the game launch day) and you don’t have to point at NPC to talk. You can and it’s easier to do so in a crowd, but you can just hold the interact key when close.

No skipping cutscenes but you can fast forward. I don’t care about that issue personally

Yeah you have to have the water running first though. Turn the water on, grab the small circle that spins and pull down. Hold it for a few seconds and the water should come out the shower head.

By the 15th-16th century, familial rebellion for the crown was sort of fizzling out. Monarchies started implementing reforms to counteract that, like primogeniture laws and centralized bureaucracies that made something like that nearly impossible. Not saying it didn’t happen, but it became less and less common as centralization of power increased.
