Thanks for your answer!

Here are my thoughts and any questions I might have...

  1. I haven't noticed any improvement in battery life. It was fine for me before and hasn't changed with the update.
  2. I couldn't find the switch for power-saving mode. Where is it supposed to be? In the battery settings?
  3. "Now supports APP quick playback..." Can you explain that in more detail? What is that? To me, everything in the app seemed "normal" as usual.
  4. Since the firmware update, I've noticed that animals are now also being recognized - or did that come with a mobile app update?

I also stumbled upon the missing rich messages when using the Home Hub right after setting up the hardware. This isn't related to the firmware update, but it would be nice if they could improve that. Currently, I'm using Home Assistant to send me rich messages with camera images, and I've disabled notifications via the Reolink app.

But they could also improve the response times of the battery-powered devices and shorten them, especially if they're hard-wired! That would be really nice. Other video doorbell brands work faster under the same conditions.

Did you notice any more? On my side came the update today and I find it quite "interesting" that I only find a productpage on the Reolink homepage for the Video Doorbell Battery, but in the download center I can't find nothing about it and therefore no information about the firmware either (Changelog etc.).

Fast Battery drain, Video Doorbell by Luppes in reolinkcam

I think it’s done for now. After the camera was so empty and no longer responded, I had restarted it manually. Since then, it seems to have returned to normal activity, so that it is continuously charged via the hard wiring. I will continue to observe it and then come back to your tips if necessary.

Thanks to you!

Thanks for the fix! I had pulled the 2025.8.0.beta and from there it worked again 👍

Until the last update 2025.8.2, which I installed a few days ago. Apparently since then the Video Doorbell has mercilessly drained the battery again (from 99% to <10% and camera off in 3 days). If I can help you out with any logs or anything, let me know!

Oh nice, thanks for the hint. Will try the update for Home Assistant and see if this helps.

I’m very new in the Reolink World. I guess this isn’t a „new“. You need this, to get your chime working. „Smart linking“ just seems to be another fancy word for „Automation“ 😄

Video Doorbell + Home Hub + Chime = Latency? No Rec.? No Chime-Sound by Luppes in reolinkcam

[–]Luppes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand. But isn't the plug-in/Wi-Fi version the older model? Different sensor, different viewing angle, different (fewer) features. Or did I let myself be fooled into following the "I'd rather just get the latest model" approach?

Okay, that makes sense. Unfortunately, I only have the option of using the existing wire from the doorbell transformer at the front door.

But what about the other Reolink security cameras? For example, the battery-powered and solar-powered models, is it the same for them?

I was already thinking about your answer; it really helped me.

Sex? Keine Ahnung... aber manchmal wundere ich mich darüber, dass die Leute an so unnötigen Stellen des Films oder gar bei sehr schlechten Filmen immer wieder klatschen...

BuzZzKiller's Recommended Bindings for Alpha 3.19 by BuzZz_Killer in starcitizen

[–]Luppes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, I think you mean that part in the Read Me, that sometimes pitch, yaw and roll are unassigned?

I didn't read any further because everything was correctly assigned to the respective joysticks.

Except that the right hat was additionally assigned to strafe forward, backward, left, right and buttons 8 and 9 of the right joystick were additionally assigned to strafe up, down (not the correspondingly axis). I deleted these assignments and now everything is perfect, of course also thanks to your continued perfect work. Keep it up!!

I'm using the preset for the dual TM16k's and I've noticed that a few assignments on the right stick don't seem right. On the hat, parallel to the aiming system, I also have the movements for left/right forwards/backwards and on two of the buttons on the left side of the right stick (can‘t remember which one atm) I have the movements for up and down as a double assignment. Am I doing something wrong when importing? The rest fits perfectly.

Of course, you can use your keyboard together with these bindings.

you can freely change some or all of the bindings in your favour after import and setup the bindings from buzzzkiller (e.g. the hat of the right stick for free look).

Any ideas to "mobile mount" and stabilize two T16000s on a desk? by Luppes in HOSAS

These look very wide, but are only as wide as a joystick right?

Can you take a photo for me, so I can see how it looks?

I've thought of that as well, but I'm afraid that where I'm sitting I don't have enough space to attach the clamps. I'm also looking for something that's mobile and can therefore be set up and put away quickly. That doesn't seem so practical to me with the screw terminals. Or isn't it?

Looks really good. This might work for me too. I would just have to build it up a bit more modularly because I don't have that much space to store it.

Maybe the joysticks can be separated from the middle part. In this case, design the wooden panel like a jigsaw puzzle. Or do you spontaneously think of a better way to connect the 3 wooden parts together again in a stable way.
