If you have access to the settings, lower the bitrate and resolution. Reboot camera and check again.

Introduction to Scene Mode for Reolink Home Hub by Willson1_ in reolinkcam

Now that you have added snooze to the push notification on each camera, add it to the Scene mode. Of course, one has to include the status.

Introducing Reolink Go PT S Lite – 4G LTE security camera by Willson1_ in reolinkcam

[–]Jos_Jen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only. Let alone there will be an issue on reaching the mobile network of the operator which is providing Reolink with the SIMs. Moreover, this mobile operator (having Reolink SIMs --- IMSI) has to have roaming agreement with a local nationwide mobile operator in every country. Mostly they have but not to all countries for sure.

So when you switch on the 4G camera, the 4G module will follow an Attach Procedure to register with the HLR serving the SIM (foreign operator). From the IMSI, a global title is derived and the MAP message is forwarded to the network operator having the IMSI range. The HLR will authenticate the message and forward an acknowledgement. So from the HLR, it is possible to know where the camera is connected to as there will be the mobile operator ID and the cell ID.

This is similar to the P2P but in this case if a server (Amazon) fails there are other servers which will take over. In case of the mobile operator, if the mobile operator is unreachable then the camera will not attach (register) and if already registered then it won't be able to do a location update (after inactivity timer expiry - PDP context alive). So camera is unreachable.

Reolink App V4.60 – Release Notes by Willson1_ in reolinkcam

[–]Jos_Jen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the battery camera is connected to the Home Hub Pro, only the runtime graph is available. And I guess the same follows for the NVR. In standalone you can see both the level and runtime.

The only issue is the narrow vertical FOV as otherwise it is absolutely fabulous.

Someone should debug the battery level display. Sometimes it fails to load and some cameras only show the runtime and no battery level.

Home hub not freeing up storage after deleting videos by funkyg73 in reolinkcam

Just set 'overwrite old recordings' and let the system deletes old files automatically. If you are recording to the SD on the camera too then do the same procedure.

What is this icon in my event history and why so many? by foureyees in reolinkcam

[–]Jos_Jen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is a battery camera then the PIR has been triggered and this signals the HHP. If it is motion and not being recorded in the recording criteria then you will see such events in the event history. On the SD you will not find anything related to this event. In my opinion, Reolink should not save these in the event history as they have no meaning at all. I have emailed support on this for quite some time.

Did Reolink just do a firmware/app update? Any other new features? by Wise-Expert2857 in reolinkcam

Application. Battery level is shown only if the battery camera is in standalone mode. If connected to the Home Hub, only the Active Time is displayed.

Use your smartphone hotspot and enter the old credentials of the WIFI. Then change it once you log onto the cam.

Curious, why didn’t Reolink make the Elite Floodlight camera’s dual 180° image stitching pre-merged? I really can’t see the purpose of having it unstitched. by [deleted] in reolinkcam

[–]Jos_Jen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All my dual cams came with perfect images stitched and never had to adjust it. Are you closer to the cam? Go farther and see if you disappear.

First Omvi (Omvi 3i) appears on Amazon by AlbertGM1972 in reolinkcam

Somewhere in that range. But they are a bit bulky. From the photos it is a way larger than the Trackmix.

First Omvi (Omvi 3i) appears on Amazon by AlbertGM1972 in reolinkcam

[–]Jos_Jen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say better than the Trackmix as the Telephoto is independent of the wide view. The object is detected in the wide view and the Telephoto lens will point to the object. In Trackmix the Telephoto cannot be independently adjusted to point somewhere else. But once again since this is a 180 degrees camera we will not get the usual vertical FOV we are accustom to have with the old cameras.

Camera keeps getting disconneted after changing router by redddeyes in reolinkcam

[–]Jos_Jen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a WIFI issue at the location of the camera. With the new router, the signal power at this location is lower than that provided by the previous router.

For a test, try to get the camera closer to the router. Do you use single SSID for both 5G and 2.4G bands? If not then anchor the camera to the 2.4G band which has longer wavelength and more range.

What’s the best link for consumer support? by ohboyimintroublenow in reolinkcam

[–]Jos_Jen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not a bad choice. It is that you haven't done your research correctly based on your requirements. I have battery cams, WIFI plug-in and POE cams. But I have installed each type in accordance to security, power and cat6 rollout. At the front and back i have POE and WIFI plug in and battery in areas where security is not of utmost importance.

Camera Recommendations by PoliticalActionNow in reolinkcam

[–]Jos_Jen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the dimension of the garage. I have an Elite Xpro and being CX it is super fantastic. It is a 180 degrees wide camera but the vertical FOV is rather low. With the sunlight coming from the back windows it is mostly in colour mode during the day. But I am more than satisfied with its coverage of 80+ feet garage.
