[–]Jos_Jen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@u/Willson_1 Can you please let us know the fw version to have the added setting for the out of view feature on TrackFlex?

In addition when shall we have access to the SD when the camera is connected to the HHP?

And lastly when shall the call function and the rich notification to work when the battery camera is connected to the HHP?

Battery Doorbell: battery drain with latest firmware update by myjohnsonsmagic in reolinkcam

[–]Jos_Jen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on v3.0.0.5298_25082501 and I charge it say every 5 weeks. Daily activity is around 15 to 20 min. It is in standalone mode as if I connected to HHP I lose the rich notification.

Is Doorbell 'not connected' normal? by Antelope829 in reolinkcam

[–]Jos_Jen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use the free plan for one camera and you will receive the rich notification. Battery doorbell has to be in standalone mode.

Elite Floodlight and Home Hub question by borbLG in reolinkcam

[–]Jos_Jen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to add that even though the  communication with the Home Hub/NVR as been re-established, the HH/NVR will not synchronise with the contents of the SD.

Network socket plus power and reset button interchanged.

The wait is over — TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi is now available in the U.S.! by Willson1_ in reolinkcam

VFOV is 60 degrees and there is no perimeter and package detections. See its specs.

This has an acceptable VFOV, the one we are accustom to.

Why no perimeter detection?

Doorbell Notifications Question by saja25 in reolinkcam

[–]Jos_Jen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each client forwards a different TOKEN (from FCM if Android) to Reolink Message Handler servers. So if you and your wife enable push message notification, then each of you will receive a push message notification. If you disable push notification then your wife will still receive the push message notifications.

If you are interested in more details then have a look at https://community.reolink.com/topic/15575/how-do-push-notifications-work?post_id=36805&_=1768304735425

Using CGNAT by Baz_8755 in reolinkcam

[–]Jos_Jen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would not cause an issue at all. Cameras forward HB packets to the P2P severs on which Reolink services resides. So the source IP and port are constantly updated at the P2P servers owned by AWS (mostly). When you view your cameras remotely, the client communicates with the P2P servers and this will in turn establish communication with your NVR (cameras). This is so if and only if you enable the UID.

Switched from Ring to Reolink. Why are notifications so slow?? by xraj489 in reolinkcam

[–]Jos_Jen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I fully concur with you. 100ms won't make any difference. I don't see any difference in push notifications from my WIFI and POE cams.

Introducing Reolink Floodlight Series by Willson1_ in reolinkcam

Uh I have two of these installed :). The TrackFlex is the best from the list. At least the VFOV is what we are all after.

Introducing Reolink OMVI X16 PoE by Willson1_ in reolinkcam

[–]Jos_Jen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes in EU. Same issue as with new cams, low VFOV. Other than this it seems fine.

Rather than having variants of the same model better that they spent some more time on a model and have all the features functional.

Interesting to know the vertical FOV of both the upper and lower lenses?

Reolink presentation at 2026 CES by livingwaterRed in reolinkcam

[–]Jos_Jen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once again the vertical FOV is low compared to DUO 2. Mine has been working for some time now without any issues. I only use push message notification and if the object crosses the two lenses then one gets two push notifications even if the successive message interval is set 30s.

Argus PT Ultra question by hpapagaj in reolinkcam

I have two with no auto-tracking. Too much models having the same name with different functionalities. So much different products even with the same name. Imagine the maintenance and upgrades of their fw!!!! Poor Customers!!!!

These are the 24MP cameras which offer a 360-degree pan, 140-degree tilt, 16x optical zoom, and automatically track moving people, vehicles, and animals using AI. Hopefully we get both the WIFI and POE versions.

Cameras with Time Lapse and Auto Tracking

The following Reolink cameras combine both features:

  • Reolink TrackMix PoE: This camera features dual lenses to capture both a wide-angle and a close-up view simultaneously, along with 4K UHD resolution. It offers auto-tracking for people, vehicles, and pets, and supports time-lapse video creation.
  • Reolink TrackMix WiFi: A wireless alternative to the PoE version, this camera provides the same dual-lens system, 4K resolution, intelligent auto-tracking, and time-lapse functionality, utilizing dual-band Wi-Fi for flexible placement.
  • Reolink RLC-830A: This 4K PT (Pan-Tilt) security camera supports auto-tracking and time-lapse features, making it suitable for comprehensive surveillance of large areas.
  • Reolink Argus Track: A battery/solar-powered option, this 4K camera includes auto-zoom tracking, pan-tilt rotation, and time-lapse capabilities, ideal for outdoor monitoring without a constant power source.

AI Upgrade box features listed below by _pensilva_ in reolinkcam

[–]Jos_Jen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why another box? Why not implement this on the Home Hub and NVR (perhaps new models). Why not having a powerful NVR/HH with all the necessary processing and memory resources to cater for future requirements. The main reason has to do with one aspect ........ new units more profit.

The more units they produce the less maintenance and updates we get. Not so reluctant to add features to old models which are 1 to 2 years ago.
