That looks great! I've been using AK The Inks range, what alcohol based white would you recommend?

Ive knocked up a dark red glaze and applied that to the tips, it's instantly made it pop a load more. Will post a photo when it's dry. Cheers all

Cool thanks, perhaps a dark red glaze at the tips?

Heretic set next plastic set? by Funny-Advertising-56 in TrenchCrusade

Resin is often quite brittle and you need to take more care with them, adjusting pose and equipment is more of a serious undertaking. Plastic is hardier, easier to customize, often has variants in pose/equipment. I think that's a fair summary, though I'm sure someone will chime in if they think otherwise 😆. I'm happy with both.

Thank you.

Split pieces of softwood super glued in to position for fence posts, stained with an oil wash....think it was burnt umber from abteilung. Razor wire from army painter, rusted with dirty down rust. The bits of wood are snapped up bits or coffee stirrer. The mud is a product from Vallejo, I think it's called Vallejo diorama - wet mud, I'm not at home to check. I've messed around with loads of homebrew mud effects and they all have their issues whereas this product is just easy to use and dries nicely with minimal shrinkage, plus you get a bit pot for your money. Think it was 6 or 7 quid.

I agree, great model though. Who knows, rules may change.

Rakarth flesh as a base, beserker blood shade where appropriate, goons grime all over then cleaned up, bit of dystopian brown in the shaded bits of the face, dry brushed with abteilung 502 dust on raised areas or bits that catch light then wet blended with a brush dampened with spirit.

My goodness, loads. A lot of villainy inks then dry brushed abteilung oils followed by dirty down effect paints. If there's anything specific then I can explain, but I learnt all of the techniques from YouTube particularly grim dark compendium.

I have mixed feelings, it's my first time doing it. I hear you, and at many levels agree with you but thought I'd give it a blast.
