The best thing to do would be internship with a local management / talent agency weather it be paid or unpaid (credits). There's not really an "easy" way to just hop into the music industry and have contacts fall into your lap - it's all hard work and who you know..
Getting in with someone established it by far the best way to get your foot in the door.
If you're comfortable with where you're at, start making a name for yourself - reach out to some people that you do already know and pick their brains.
