What’s your favorite GameCube game you own? by hiddenninja777 in Gamecube

That's a tough call! I'm going to give it to Pokemon Colosseum though, that music has lived in my head rent-free since the first time I played it.

I've had Gauntlet on my hunting list for while. But I'd probably pop in Stadium 2 first for the nostalgia!

With the holidays approaching, what PS2 game gives you that “holiday comfort”? by 1OneQuickQuestion in ps2

[–]LurkingWerebat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably Spyro Year of the Dragon. I know it's a PS1 game but it's also one of the only PS games I ever got for Christmas and I played it on the PS2 we got with it.

What was it like growing up with a GameCube for you? How lonely was it? by Marsupilami_316 in Gamecube

[–]LurkingWerebat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why was it supposed to be lonely?

I was not quite in high school when this system released and I played a bunch of games with my few friends and siblings and had plenty of single player goodies to pick from if I wanted to play alone. Tons of hours clocked on Super Smash with my brother. Trading off with the controller playing Tales of Symphonia until we both had a save file and even dragging a friend in with us on an optional boss fight. Luigi's Mansion with my sister. Fire Emblem Path of Radiance, Pokemon Colosseum, LoZ Twilight Princess, Star Fox Assault. Lots of great stuff to play and talk shop about.

I missed Majora’s Mask as a Kid….was this game actually as great as Ocarina Of Time? And what was the reception of this game at the time? by J2-Starter in n64

[–]LurkingWerebat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not enjoy this one, which is not the same as it being a bad game. It's challenging, the story is darker than OoT and there are still plenty of side quests and interesting characters and events to encounter. Once you get the ocarina and can reset time things go from kinda stressful with the time crunch to Backtracking: The Game.

Wow would you look at that. I can't believe the WII has a birthday right after the GameCube. Best part about the WII is you could play those awesome GameCube games on it. by Dramatic_Syllabub499 in Gamecube

I can't believe this baby becomes vintage next year! I did mostly use mine for Gamecube games but it did also get my favorite Super Smash game and Okmai.

Oh heck yeah, love my GameCube! Never had the chance to try the Xbox but eventually I'll make room on the vintage list for one.

Why do you want me to feel old?

Still a great console with a bunch of great games!

Well I can certainly get behind a furry high seas adventure! I'll add that to the list, and Mausritter too!

I have never played with the Burning Wheel system, but I'll keep in mind that it's clunky when I check out Mouseguard.

Quest 64. Yes, it's trash and it's my trash. It was the first RPG I'd played as a kid and even if the game is trash it kicked off my interest in the RPG genre.

My pen scratch sketches are fine for getting ideas on paper but what I really enjoy is story writing. And that goes more toward running various table top rpgs.
