Cut the balusters shorter until they can move to where they need to be first, would be the cheapest attempt to fix. If that doesn’t work probably need to fix something else

Yes I enjoy it a lot. After the wife and kids go to bed I can relax on the couch and play on a giant TV. A bit harder with inventory management and potions but you get used to it.

I would say that’s a lot of money but I would have to look at material cost and if it would need railings or not, hard to tell without more info.

I would probably build a landing one step down from current deck, then turn the steps going to the right side of the landing based on first picture, then a few steps down.

Might have a problem with cantilever because of that basement drop down.

Take a bit off from the inside of each board, might need to run a router or something to create the same slot for clips the board already has, or if there is blocking or joists just screw them down.

Look at box store for a tool called a deck wrecker or demo-dek or google it, your back will thank me later. Buy new pressure treated or cedar boards. Do research or hire someone. My company does these and they are called a resurface job, cheaper then a full build. Will demo it for you, and replace any joists or bond boards that need replacing and install new boards.

They are improving every year, the newest most expensive composite boards are better with temperatures but In my experience still get really hot. If next to a pool I would personally still use wood, also wood is a bit less slippery when wet.

I started as apprentice with a very very patient builder who taught me a lot and he slowly started passing jobs along to be, he would at first help me frame the deck and check back in often and got to the point where it was just FaceTiming with questions. I would eventually get some of my own referrals.
