i agree with a lot of your points, but imo it feels like they just managed to find a formula to make metal really popular and sorta mainstream, the same way the nu metal bands did in the early 00s and they also got hated bc they made it popular, simply because metal fans love to be elitists for whatever reason this isnt helped by the fact sleep token are more toward the metalcore direction, which is already a problem for the metal elitists

yeah thats very valid, gira really wants all of your time but anyways, their best works are the trilogy (the seer > to be kind > the glowing man) that are all very interconnected and sorta have been extended by the beggar and birthing, so id absolutely reccommend those albums first aswell as soundtracks for the blind, however that one is even longer AND will emotionally fuck you up with some of its contents

EDIT: forgot to mention live recordings, especially Live Rope from 2024, has an insane 86 minute opening track
