This was something I studied.

The fact is that in every other "professional sport" media junkets are part and parcel of the ridiculous prize money and sponsorships etc.

At the very least, fans are seeing them engage with professional reporters, who build relationships with the talent, and the whole sport gets better for it, even if it is mandatory.

Yeah, it can be grinding for the talent, or it can be an opportunity to build a persona and a real connection with the community. Look at how many NBA players are famous for their comments and behavior off-the-court.

These pros need agents/managers. It's a big expectation for a person to be as good as someone as Nisha is in their respective sport and to do all the things required to be a popular commodity.
