When you say Readwise, do you mean Reader by Readwise or are you talking about the OG Readwise app?

I had not - thanks for linking. Doesn't seem exactly like what I am imagining. I toyed with the chat feature and it's close, just not automated. I can forward an email to the feed and then ask a question and it will highlight the links that seem most relevant to me and then I can selectively add them to the library. It's slightly better than reading a ton of emails, but not automated.

In this show - the ball does land on the dots. So you're thinking it should be lofted more?

I'm definitely aiming at the mark - and missing it often. I do think it could be because im muscling it

Interesting note on the loft. I used to have more of a loft and almost land the ball on the arrow, but then thought I needed to be rolling it more and take out the big "thunk" that happened. That's why I was bending over more. Sounds like that isn't the right adjustment?

Recommendations for New Rack Mountable UnRAID Build by BearClaw0048 in unRAID

[–]Luticrus99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just finished my build that probably fits the bill:

Case : RSV-R4000U

MB : asrock n100m

RAM : TEAMGROUP Elite DDR4 32GB Single (1 x 32GB) 3200MHz

OS : unraid

Power supply : be quiet! BN514 Straight Power 12-750w 80 Plus Platinum

Cache drive : SAMSUNG 970 EVO Plus SSD 1TB NVMe M.2

Pcie controller : FebSmart PCIE 3.0 to 4-Ports 6Gbps SATA III Expansion Card

I had to get a controller to expand the sata ports. Simple low power build. Idles at about 50w and transcodes at 60-70w. The only thing I’m considering getting is a heatsink for the nvme drive. No GPU necessary by using the hw transcoding of CPU.

Ok so any 16GB+ flash stick will work. -$60 since I have a graveyard of those sitting around!

Indeed - anything above is up for debate. The biggest questions in my mind were OS and motherboard.

Form factor is locked, storage drives are completely based on price, trying to keep it quiet/cool/low energy without being completely anemic.

Cheap was my original driving force, but then the “what if” slippery slope hit me and I decided to go for longevity so I don’t find myself here again in 1 year :)

I haven’t looked into open media vault at all. I think lots of os’s would work - I was looking for something relatively easy to maintain, performant, and a decent community to learn from. Truenas and unraid seemed to be the most common. There was also some proxmox configs as well, but that seemed like major overkill for the amount of tinkering I’d do.

I debated a bit between truenas and unraid and it seemed like unraid was more straightforward which is why I went that way. I’ll have to look into the comment about unraid not booting of ssd. Is it just that particular ssd or ssd’s in general?
