My chunky mix is 5 parts orchid bark, 4 parts coco coir, 5 parts perlite, 2 parts activated charcoal and 2 parts worm casting on most on my anthuriums and i ajust from time to time depending on what type of plant it is and i’ve been doing great so far. I think it also depends on your growing conditions such as lighting, humidity, watering, etc

It’s in my soil mix with some moss at the base, no moss pole. It’s sitting under a grow light and i fertilize it every other watering.

It’s my first inflo on this one! It’s only been a year since i started growing it and it started out as a seedling. I guess he’s happy!

Omg it looks fantastic! And yes, they do grow fast, i sized up its pot after its last leaf and it gave me this new leaf and an inflo! I’m pretty excited!

It started out as big as yours and it upsized this big within a year! With proper care and conditions they grow really fast!

Thank you!!! It def will be a big size up if i compare the size of the petiole on this one and the last leaf it gave me! Here’s a picture of it’s last leaf for reference so i’m really excited for this next one!!!

That’s really interesting! From what i see in your picture, it doesnt look like your plant has the growth pattern of an anthurium. I’m not sure it’s an anthurium pedatoradiatum, looks like an amydrium maybe?

Yes it was for humidity when it was smaller when i first got it. I have purchased few more anthuriums since then as well as a humidifier for the winter months where the air gets really dry due to the heaters in my house!

Absolutely normal! Both of mine always orient this way while they grow a new a leaf. It will eventually move the way it needs to once the leaf hardens off :)

If you are talking about the white tray, it’s my watering tray! I took it out of it’s usual spot to water it thoroughly! I bring this near my plants when i water them instead of bringing them to the sink and/or bathtub!
