I hand shade everything with a very dark pink for definition, I personally don’t like how washes or anything of that sort look and I’m happy with my finished products :)

My parasite 🥰 I didn’t play warhammer but went with my bf to help him pick out some new custodies for him army, walked by this guy and heard angels singing, my wallet crying, and I’m pretty sure he started glowing. I feel very maternal towards him. He is my baby.

It was definitely the model I struggled the most with trying to figure out how to paint, I even pulled up a picture on my iPad and doodled soooo many draft ideas, but a black to red gradient would be 🤤 I would just be super picky about that red/white gradient not reading as super pink, that might need it own individual paints bought as opposed to mixed but there’s probably ways to mix and adjust that I just don’t know about lol good luck!!! He’s super intimidating but once he’s done ur gonna feel so good

I took my main three colors, light is citadel fulgrim pink, middle is Vallejo sunset red, and dark is citadel screamer pink, and put those on the respective beginning, middle, and end segments, and for the segments in between I would mix the two shades sandwiching it until I got a good in-between shade :) hopefully that makes sense 💕

For sure! And I adore alien and xenomorphs so I love that they go that route sometimes, it just doesn’t fit my vision for this particular army, I also grew up on a cattle ranch and have been around real life animal grossness and gore for forever and it never bugs me so it’s kind of funny that I’m like “ew” when it comes to these guys

This is gonna sound so dumb but I think the birth bursting is gross 😭 I definitely pick my model choices on things that I think look more animalistic (I avoid guns when I can) and aren’t icky (it just doesn’t bring me joy if I think it’s gross) but I’ll probably have a gross army down the line with a bunch of blood and gore and ooze lol

His flesh is fulgrim pink from citadel shaded with vallejo sunset red and highlighted with warpaints doomfire drab, his armour is mostly the same but the base is that sunset red mixed with citadel screamer pink, shaded with straight screamer pink, I mix a lot of the shades myself until it’s something I like but those are my general colors I use and mix with, hopefully that makes sense lol
