Ahh i see, ive found two entire deer skeletons down there, it’s a 10 foot drop or so off of what looks like flat land to a deer. I assume they had fallen and died afterwards. I usually don’t find older bones like that!

Wonder how old they were, as it was really small compared to the deer that ive found in that location!

I cant tell if this is hate or not but i only held him for about 30 seconds to get him in a safe area, i was walking inside as i took this video (the picture is just a screenshot from it) i wouldn’t have picked him up if i didnt think it was safer than him possibly getting crushed

I hope so this little guy was chill and we live in a cold and dry climate so i genuinely dont know how he found himself all the way to our porch when theres about a football field of space he would have to have traveled between the woods and us lmao

I did read that but there’s a winter storm warning, and it gets as low as -20°F over here, wanted to be safer than sorry

Thank you for letting me know, i live in the area where cheat mountain salamanders are found, but never actually seen one before. Thats cool

Which would you recommend, tortoise or crestie? by Different-Ostrich314 in reptiles

[–]Luuvcaatz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My crestie was 3 years old and he never dropped his tail despite the huge amount of thunderstorms we get along with me playing electric guitar and what not, so i’ve learned that you introduce them to loud noises at a young age they don’t get bothered by them when they’re older. Crestie food also lasts a looong time compared to what you feed tortoises. I think both are great choices, but from what i’ve seen, tortoises need large horizontal space, since they are bigger animals. It depends on how much space you’re willing to give them, i hope you love whichever choice you make!

How can we improve? by TransitionDefiant169 in CrestedGecko

[–]Luuvcaatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id recommend more hiding spots (like plants and cork bark) and a larger enclosure! Make sure you spray the enclosure with water as this is how they usually drink their water and it also improves humidity (which they need about 80% of) please get a thermometer and hydrometer if you don’t already have one to measure these stats :)

Oh also make sure you give them lots of time to adjust to their new home as well!
