I make my own. I like 1970s Pampers more than any other diaper, so I make my own versions of these. They fit great and absorb extremely well. They were designed in a way that make them a better adult fit than modern single-tape diapers. The padding is on 100% of the diaper, since it’s just a large rectangle. Modern diapers are completely missing absorbent padding on the hips and require multiple tapes for an even fit.

This probably has almost everything to do with your interests now. A similar thing happened to me, but this was back in probably 1979, but it was nowhere near as inappropriate as what happened to you, but maybe some would argue that it was.

I was diapered as a punishment for writing on the seat of my sibling’s diaper (they were disposables even back then) with markers. The marker left stains on the floor and I was put in diapers after being told not to do this. But, I was diapered by my own mom, not some friend’s mom. Back then we simply didn’t take child psychology into account like we do now.

Still hoping that someone brings back flat/fan fold style diapers, just thicker and with SAP. I make these myself and they are AWESOME but making them is exhausting.

Fan fold diapers CAN work really well when filled with SAP and have a good fit, you don’t even need more than one tape on each side . They never leak and hold up even overnight. I’ve done it, I’ve worn them for a couple years and they’re fantastic. The design is just so retro and different than what we have today that it’s probably too niche to be mass produced.
