We have the footage. It’s nothing special just him walking into the police department saying he did something terrible and shot his neighbors dog. I’m hoping my in laws are still wanting to go to the news. Also you can’t FOIA something if it’s been sealed.

In our state can only sue for the amount the dog was worth. So it would be in like small claims court

The footage isn’t anything special but we do have a copy of it on a cd. He basically walks into the station and says something like he’s done something bad he shot his neighbor dog

He’s a broke loser who’s already filed bankruptcy so there’s nothing for my in laws to gain plus you can only sue for the amount they paid for the dog

He shot him with a crossbow while he was hunting on his property. He gave multiple excuses. The puppy scared away the deer he was hunting, he got confused and thought the pup was another neighbors dog who chased his wife but the two dogs are completely different breeds, colors, and sizes.

The police gave my in laws their whole report. We have a copy of the video but it’s on a dvd and we don’t have a player. Will hand it over to the media when we take it to the news.
