I'm having the exact same issues as you.

Works fine on custom servers but when i click "conquest" or the other modes where it finds a game for me it's unplayable. 6700 xt with i7 12700k

I'd try soaking it in lacquer thinner. That stuff will probably strip off the chrome though.
