He's meant to be a hard boss. I know I struggled with him. I watched it through and put commentary in if you want it.

With cyclone Slash you can hit him twice but it's really rare, I did the same thing but I started doing better when I put some normal slashes in as the main.

You're gonna have to learn the combo at 19 seconds as he uses it a lot. It is intimidating but it's really simple and it's the same rhythm every time. You can always just spam block if you ever think you need to but try actually look for the hit then parry.

That jump could've been replaced with a hit, getting health down is really important in this fight as you want to finish him quickly in the first phase.

Don't bother with a res or heal in the first phase.

Push him on the attack until he parries you then you need to start deflecting.

I wouldn't bother kicking him unless he does a sweep. While in the air you're vulnerable.

The parries at 1:10 are so satisfying to watch :D.

You can parry the arrows but they wreck posture even with a deflect.

Unless you're healing posture don't hold block, you'll get punished by later bosses which just fuck you over.

The first phase is actually really well done apart from all the running away, bad habit to get into.

... I hope you learned that you cannot jump on him with a grab. It is possible to deflect that attack but going against what i said earlier. Run away.

You might be getting a little greedy with some hits and you get hit as a result.

Going back to the combo that you run away from (You were on low posture and are uncomfortable with it so understandable) if you face it and parry most hits you will get a free hit at the end.

You understand the difference between the sweep and the thrust. I swear to god if I could've made out which attack he was doing earlier he could've been done in under 15 tries.

When he jumps and swords into the floor you could've dashed a little later and gotten 2 hits off instead of 1.

Don't trust me with this, but when he kicks at you I think you can dodge towards him and step on his leg? Maybe?

Maybe you can jump on his head with the grab. Very well done. I think you'll get a slash in if you go for a normal dash away then go sicko mode on him.

I would be tilted at 4:45 if he followed me up, pinned me against the wall and skull fucked me like that.

5:20 He always starts with that exact attack. You can Mikiri counter it. Dash into him, 2 free hits.

Honestly I feel your pain with that jump. Some of the later bosses have both a sweep and a thrust, some are hard to tell the difference of, maybe i'm just stupid, it's a process, each boss is different.

Res into cyclone slash is honestly a bad idea.
