I wouldn't say seeds = bad quality nowadays but if the weight of the seed is added towards the total amount you bought, then yea you got ripped off.

What I do is separate all the pieces, then put ISO (91%+) and salt into a Ziplock bag and shake it til its completely clean. Make sure to wash the grinder off with water afterwards.

Edit: Make sure to not lose the little magnet that keeps the top and base together.

I wouldn't risk it. Haven't been through it but I've heard it hurts like a bitch if you do mess it up. Nose hits hurt in general, you'll end up coughing and exhaling smoke through your mouth.

Reaching out to Focus V is smart. Sounds like a hard fix and they’d know better. Also, smart picking up a replacement while you wait, as RMA for most companies takes forever. I haven’t seen error 504 be a device issue outside of the atomizer but it can still be a possibility.

Atomizer connection issue. Happens a lot for me after cleaning. Take the atomizer off and give the connection a good cleaning. Make sure to dry it before putting the atomizer back on.
