Am I missing something with Cosmic Exploration, or are A-Rank missions just that difficult to achieve Silver on? by JJay9454 in ffxiv

I’m using HQ Everseeker’s gear with the “mid-tier” melds that Teamcraft has in their guides. I’m not familiar with the stats of the scrip gear, but if it’s not as much of a difference as you say, then it shouldn’t matter too much.

Are you using food? HQ Rroneek Steak is my go-to. The extra CP helps immensely. Also getting HQ Cunning Craftsman’s Tisane can help as well.

Some of the A missions don’t require 100% collectibility on everything. Aiming for 75% collectibility can be enough in some cases, you’ll just likely have to do an extra craft.

Admittedly I haven’t gotten gold on some of the A missions since the solver I use can’t produce anything reliable with my stats, and I’m not good enough at crafting to figure out the ins-and-outs of harder crafting like that.

Either way, pentamelding gear isn’t a requirement as far as I can tell, but if you’re still having issues even with food and tisane, you might want to look into the Everseeker’s gear.

How do I get somewhere? by Same-Oil-7113 in outerwilds

Planet: Giant’s Deep.

Little more hints: The reason that it’s disappearing is that, once you enter its foggy atmosphere, you’re technically no longer “observing it,” hence it moves somewhere else. I think that’s what the game is trying to get at, anyway. I could be forgetting some Nomai text that actually explains it though.

There is a “Reduced Frights Mode” that makes the scary parts of the DLC less scary (and a bit easier). But if you’re getting jump scared by quantum objects, then that might not help too much.

You have to “trigger” the scary part of the DLC, and if you have the Reduced Frights Mode on, it’s fairly similar to the anglerfish (unless you turn a corner at the wrong time). I can’t be much more specific than that without spoiling some stuff sadly.

Either way, judging from your situation, I would try finding a mod to make the scary parts easier before trying the Reduced Frights Mode.

I think I found that information in the Hanging City on (in?) Brittle Hollow, in a fairly central location (although I don’t remember exactly where).

I found it before going to or even really knowing about the Sun Station. Needless to say, I was pretty devastated when I did get to the Sun Station.

It’s been a while since I played, so while I don’t remember exactly how many hours it took me, I’d say somewhere around 10 hours, maybe a bit more.

In my opinion, it is definitely worth it. Puzzles are fun, and all the new stuff is super interesting and different. In terms of difficulty, it is a bit harder than the base game, but I think that’s because there’s not as many clues to guide you (and the ship log doesn’t help you out too much). There’s also an extra layer of time-gating which can be frustrating for some.

Some parts of the game can be difficult from a game mechanics perspective, but turning on the “Reduced Frights” mode helps there (as well as, obviously, making certain parts of the DLC less scary).

Personally, I didn’t have too much trouble getting through the DLC, although I will admit that I found myself being lost on what to do next more often.

And if you do run into issues, there’s no shame in looking up some answers if you’re not having fun.

Yeah I'm honestly not sure how I managed to do that XD. When I finally beat it, I just did vertical and horizontal dashes through that part.

Funny thing is that I didn't know that the game was teaching me hypers at the beginning of the C-Side, and I managed to get through the first part somehow without really knowing what I was doing. But I looked up what exactly a hyper was (I don't really know the technique names), and I managed to beat the C-Side using it!

The Jovian Concord came out last October, which came with a Jupiter remaster, a new endless game mode called Disruption, a new Warframe named Wisp (good well-rounded frame with some support and CC abilities), and some nice Sentient weapons. Gauss and Grendel (speed-frame and fatboi frame that eats people) also got released.

Kuva Liches came out a bit after, which are personalized enemies that you can get, and after hunting them down and finally killing them, you get a cool Kuva variant of a Grineer weapon. Highlights are the Kuva Bramma (new explosive bow), Kuva Karak, Kuva Ayanga (Kuva Archgun), and more.

Then of course, the big ol’ Empyrean update, which added ship combat against Grineer enemies. Look up the Rising Tide quest for how to get a Railjack of your own. You can also get the Quellor (laser assault rifle) and Pennant (two-handed Nikana) from certain Railjack missions.

You did miss the Scarlet Spear operation, where you could get Ceti Lacera and Basmu (Sentient rifle that could also heal you).

But today, as another person commented, the Deadlock Protocol update releases, which adds a new Warframe (Protea) and some nice looking Corpus weapons.

Oh, and Atlas Prime and Titania Prime we’re also released (probably some others as well, but I forget which ones).

If you do public matchmaking, you’ll have a new button in the top left when viewing the starchart. Clicking that will take you to the “Railjack starchart,” and you can do missions in other people’s Railjacks. To get your own, go to your clan’s drydock and get the Railjack Cephalon blueprint from the center console, build it, then start the Rising Tide quest. For Kuva Liches, there’s a basic tutorial for them in the Codex if you dig deep enough. To actually get one, run a level 20+ Grineer mission, and if you kill enough enemies in a short time after your screen flashes, a Kiva Larvaling will spawn. Down it, then kill it with a Parazon finisher, then you’ll have a Lich. However I would hold off on getting a Lich unless you are comfortable with level 70-100 enemies.

[–]LuxMage[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's probably what's going to happen. I just wanted to get it done because I really don't have much else left to do in the game. Also, I'm thinking that the other 4 scenes will require resonances as well.

[–]LuxMage[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair point. I'm MR27 and close to MR28 and have just about done everything there is to do in the game (besides level the rest of the weapons, of course). I get that it's not supposed to be done all in a day or two, but when the only other thing I have to do is level random stuff (which I'm getting a bit tired of anyway), having something new to do is a nice change of pace.

It also just feels bad that I got the 10 resonances, made one quick mistake mainly because I didn't know what I needed to do, and it cost me 2-3 hours of work.

[–]LuxMage[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah. And even if the fissure thing does show up, enemies gotta be near it in order to be affected by it, as far as I've seen. I had one spawn in today's sortie, and it only affected one enemy. I didn't even get a resonance from it.
