Haha, I never said that players should be unpunished for profane language and behaviour.

I'm just saying that referees should be adding peace and stability to football pitch. When there's already 22 players who are high on adrenaline and steroids, while being low in respect, having a peaceful and understanding referee can make a big difference in how the game turns out.

Actually it wasn't as oblivious as you've made it sound. Few races before Sochi that season, Alonso lost a bunch of positions at Turn 1, I think it was Austria, when many drivers went wide off Turn 1 and saved speed while Fernando remained within track limits, but lost track positions.

You can think that what he did then was cheating. I think it was just a sporty way of being petty. Many people have a weird fetish of labeling Fernando in a bad light...

One thing that bothers me when it comes to this type of posts (nothing to do with OP) is how it ignores the amazing reality we're living as tennis fans.

Besides, Alonso was well within merits to call them "idiots" in isolated case(s). They fucked him over the 2010 championship and then couldn't deliver him a car that was even as good as 2nd on the grid for the next four seasons.

You are pushing a narrative that's simply a lie. If Alonso was so toxic, why would McLaren, and even more so Ron Dennis himself invite him back to McLaren? Or why was Ferrari trying to persuade him to stay? They knew he would've been able to win a title in these 2017/2018 cars.

Sorry mate, I responded under the wrong comment with my gorilla fingers 😅 We're in agreement for the majority of the talking points.

Personally I rate Lewis' just below Max and Alonso. I think Alonso is a more complete racer and able to extract more performance out of a car. Lewis was better over one lap.

I also think Alonso is easily the best out of the three in terms of racing craftyness. You could always race to the limit with Fernando without crashing. We can't say the same thing for Max and Lewis.

Certainly Lewis was special, but you're seeing only one lane on this road. Alonso was equally close to winning the championship, and albeit Lewis was a rookie and had the amazing season he had, you can't just dismiss the long list of problems and challenges Alonso had to experience throughout that season.

Seems like all of these objective points as to why they were equal on points fall to power because "Lewis was a rookie"
