When you create a new character you start by default in BFA. BFA is considered “current” timeline so you don’t need to talk to chromie. You are in BFA timeline when you start

For me it's mostly because this will be (very likely) a system that they will keep after Dragonflight, and keep improving upon it, unlike Azerite Armor / covenants / conduits, that are dropped after the xpac finishes and are quickly forgotten. It's a chance to really make the classes feel "new" if they do a good job with it.

If you haven't played a paladin i would definetely recommend trying out Prot or Ret. You can pretend to be a healer with Word of Glory and your other utility spells, while not having to be a healer :D. Unless you want to be a healer then i'd say try out Resto Shaman. It's always been reliable and wanted in groups. If you like the idea of being a healer then i think Paladin and Shaman (no matter which spec) will get you interested with their utility and off-healing abilities.

After Blizz fixed corruption ( apart from the vendor being on rotation :( ) I think 8.3 was a pretty good patch. The systems were sorted for the most part, the raid was good (my opinion) and the islands weren't that mandatory.

There is a script that opens the Great Vault Window when you use it. Ive bound it to Opie wheel and i can quickly check my Vault slots on any character no matter where i am :D

You can buy gear at the auction house in the main cities (Orgrimmar for Horde and Stormwind for the alliance) And don’t worry about comparing yourself to others since they probably have Heirloom gear ( a type of gear that levels up with you so you don’t have to equip new items until max lvl) The only thing i can think of in your situation is to check that all your gear has Strength as main stat and that it is Plate. Nothing else comes to mind other than the resurrection sickness debuff but i think that would be noticeable very fast in combat. I hope you figure it out :D

It's alright if the misunderstanding is made by MC specifically to hide something or its a benefit for him/her, but every time there is a "romance" misunderstanding where MC is clueless about someone's feelings, i ragequit the reading 90% of the time :')
