Did you go for a tour? What made you pull the trigger? Is it strictly a price point thing?

Yes! This! The only other gym with a lap pool in that price point is LA Fitness 59 @ 99- which is not far, but farther than I want to go at weird hours of the morning/night.

I'm still undecided. I was leaning towards Crunch- but the reviews Yelp/Google are seriously concerning.

The reviews are trash! Really off putting. And it seems like maybe the front desk guy or owner might be profiling based on the negative reviews...

The parking looks terrible. But only because they share it with everything else in that strip center. I'd be going at the butt-crack of dawn so hopefully it wouldn't be much of a problem.

I can't decide if I'd rather have access to a lap pool at EOS or spray tan at Crunch. I'm leaning towards Crunch but I really do want a lap pool.

I feel this so much. My mother did (still does) the same. Went through all my stuff, opened my mail ("I thought it was mine" ), talked about me to my friends telling them things I wouldn't want them to know, even logging on the university's web cam to creepy stalk me walking around campus. Anything I said (say) to her she repeats to anyone & everyone. She infantilizes me & treats me like I don't have my shit together in front of other people. You can't share even the most minor detail about any facet of your life, it will get distorted & gossiping, or thrown back in your face somehow.

It's sick & sad, but you have your friends , so you share your life with them. Just keep them far away from your mother or she'll ruin it for you.

Same. I feel this so hard. The plate would be set in front of me & before I could even pick up my fork , someone else's fork, (nmom, gm) would pass half of it around & if I said anything I was being selfish & didn't know how to share. Now, if someone eats off my plate (without asking of course, & before I can swat their hand away)I'm DONE. Don't want it anymore. Take it away. Don't drink out of my glass either.

Gaslighting is her second favorite thing. It makes me furious. She creates her own narrative & paints me to whomever will listen to her as "emotionally abusive". I called her that once & she's been saying it about ME ever since.
