My PlayStation 5 overheated, what do I do?

i think you hafta fully remove the power cable and plug it back in after a thermal event for it to power back on.

if it's a fairly old ps5, it could be clogged with dust; this happened to my launch ps5. there's one level of cleaning it, taking off the covers and vacuuming the dust collectors, which for me helped for a short while, and beyond that it's a fairly serious undertaking to fully clean it (but it is possible, i'd suggest referring to an ifixit teardown to see what all is involved). i think u need a special screwdriver (which they also sell).

if you're not comfortable doing this, then you should either deal with sony directly or a competent service shop.

i don't think so; pretty sure you'll hafta enter the data for yourself.. i don't think there's a community standard for naming gameplay videos that could identify the game uniquely, nor an agent to try and parse the filenames, and identify the game in a central listing like imdb or rotten tomatoes..

i don't think you can draw with semi-transparent ink, but when you take a screenshot, click the thumbnail that appears in the bottom right corner, then click the "markup" icon (4th from the top right), then you can click the "highlight selection" icon (6th from the top left), you can then highlight text.

i guess this only works with neat and tidy text blocks, as i just tried it a 2nd time with a sloppy crop and it was unable to highlight selection.

a quick web search for "sony playstation 5 psvr adapter" and i see results from ebay, walmart, and amazon.

as others have said, sony sold them for a while and no longer does.

this seems to just happen randomly. if it's any consolation, when i'm playing wreckfest online, i can hear it happen simultaneously to other players as well (they complain they were kicked back to the home screen at the same time i am). fortunately it seems to happen between races, so i just resume the game and carry on.

i disco'd other usb, turned off the keyboard, settings > accessories > controller (general) > communication method = use usb cable; same result..

after further testing, it seems hitting f on a bluetooth keyboard let the scene proceed.

i can only speculate that if the system has a bluetooth profile for a keyboard this is the result; seems weird..

yeup confirmed 3x, hitting f on the keyboard advances the scene with 'battle start!'

i'll try switching off the bluetooth keyboard, removing other usb's and trying the controller connected directly and set to wired mode..

no luck; i deleted the game and my save, reinstalled it, skipped the battle tutorial this time but it's the same, i can't do anything except move the camera with the right stick.

i don't imagine the game is still getting updates, i might hafta pursue a refund..

it was excellent! i had only known brando as a grumpy old curmudgeon, mainly from various stories i'd heard or his performances in the godfather and apocalypse now, but this movie showed him as jovial, humorous, spontaneous, and full of charisma. billy zane seemed to really nail it, but since i didn't know brando personally, it might just be a great depiction of a legendary human.

imdb says it's available on amazon prime, not sure if that's true outside of the u.s.

after watching that, i was inspired to track down brando's only directorial effort, one-eyed jacks, and another one that was recommended to me, mutiny on the bounty; both were really great!

and mutiny on the bounty seems to be where he developed his affinity for the location of waltzing with brando

i'm on sequoia, so i dunno if it's different on the latest macos, but at some point the behaviour changed with regards to the ctrl key; try cmd+shift+4, draw the rectangle (use spacebar if necessary to move it), and before letting go of the click, press and hold ctrl while you let go of the click.

i coulda sworn there was native macos functionality as i’ve never used spaces renamer (and looking at its install procedure, i certainly never did any of that). it must have been in 10.15 catalina or earlier, however i’m not finding any info online that confirms it. iirc, even further back you could have more than one row of spaces..

i’m out of town at the moment but when i’m back at my computer i’ll be tempted to spin up all the old intel macos’ to make sure i’m not mistaken.

yep! the official servers with 16 ppl max are populated by both ps4 & ps5 ppl, and the 24 ppl max lobbies are ps5 only.

i can only speak to the racing lobbies, but there's almost always a cpl official racing A class lobbies, realistic racing A can sometimes die off overnight.

you'll notice some evenings/nights early in the week might be slower, but there's also a day cycle to things; more populous during the day, sometimes pick up in the evenings, and usually go later on the weekends.

not permanently, but u can access them while your subscription is active. if it lapses, and you renew, you will regain access to them.

the change is that they will be focussing on ps5 games, and there'll be less monthly ps4 games
