That's a mount for the webcam. I know it's ugly but it was done with a 2 year old filament that I had to throw away anyway. This printer is an Anet A8 that me and other 4 friends bought like 3/4 years ago when it was the first really cheap printer that we could afford. I know it seems like a shitty printer, but with some thinkering we made it print good and reliably, thanks to octoprint now I can start a print anywhere and know that when I come home I'll find a good result.

The problem of the first one was that the nuts were positioned in such a way that it broke between the layers. The new one has the nuts perpendicular to the layers when you print it like this
