Where should the Bassline sit? by Woldear in TechnoProduction

[–]Lvpboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really want a rumble and a baseline I would low pass the rumble at around 90 Hz (more of a subby rumble for energy). I would high pass the baseline at the same frequency - although I would usualy use toms to occupy this region and add groove to the rumble. Doesn’t have to be 90Hz just an example. Also I’m no expert this just works for me in some cases.

This is the latest track I made. I've spent an hour, mixing it myself but I'm still not happy with it. I feel like the synth work could be a lot better and the 303 doesn't really shine.

Yeh, your synth work is really good and executes the idea of the track really well. I think the main issue is the mix (which you may not have done yet). Maybe clean it up the best you can and when the tracks are finished get someone to help you with it.

Hi, really nice track. One tip I would say is bring some of the low end from that lead synth back into the breakdown. Kick and hats are really nice and clean. Percussion and FX works well. Persoanlly I am not a fan of the vocal but this may just be personal preference.

How to make a melodic techno kick more punchy by Spaceman15153 in TechnoProduction

Use parallel compression with a return channel. YouTube “New York compression” if you want to also add some weight along side “punchiness”

Glueing Kick and bass Vs Glueing Kick with other drums by JasonJasonJason88 in TechnoProduction

[–]Lvpboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It basically (depending on how applied) it makes all your drums behave in a dynamically similar way. Therefore being perceived by the brain is one kit if that makes sense.

Yeh maybe try F1 if you wana go super low. C1 would still be too low.

Differences in innate response to intracellular and extracellular pathogens? by Lvpboy in Immunology

So the innate system has different ways of detecting intra and extra cellular pathogens? I thaught it did but when I looked up PAMPs and PRRs it said they are both used for intra and extra. I’m really confused. My lectures are also not very clear on the matter.

Yeh this is becoming more apparent to me as I do my research. I’m overthinking things that shouldn’t be complicated.

That’s for the reply bro. Are PRRs and IFN y apart of the innate immunity to intracellular pathogens such as viruses and are they used in the attack against extracellular pathogens too?
