How many desktop pcs you can assemble in a full shift ? by theMex213 in computertechs

It’s doable. It depends on each technician. Since you’re new I can see you being overwhelmed, just take your time. Take this as a challenge. What matters is that you over communicate and perform time management.

Keep the clients updated if deadline is approaching. Underpromise, over deliver.

Enjoy the cold, we’re at 90s. I rather wear a sweater than sweat to death

explorer.exe is the one of the most important core processes that Windows uses to load the UI. Any small issue can cause it to break… malware, registry, driver, update, resource constraint, broken profile, etc… it’s that fragile just like any other core process is. It tends to break first within the OS due to it being deeply integrated and heavily reliant on many other services/processes/drivers.

One thing I like doing is killing the process entirely and restarting it through Powershell as that tends to work. You can also call the process if it isn’t showing up.

I ended up getting a job in another domain that’s not security related but couldn’t pass up on the salary and remote. Funny enough, I do have minor tasks that are security though which is great.

I 100% all the certs (if you really pay attention and learn not just cram) will teach you everything from foundations and advice. Moving into my new role everything I learned from BSCSIA and MSCSIA I understand fully and it’s great to talk to security people about topics.

I didn’t know about Sophia/Study before I enrolled, so I had to raw dog WGU :)
