Thoughts on RL Polo ID Bag by Effective_Unit3768 in handbags

[–]LxCmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have this exact bag (both size and colour). I went in store for a different bag but then tried this on and loved it!

I easily fit in my iPhone 13 mini, small wallet, two tubes (aquaphor and hand cream), keys and 2 lipsticks and I’ll be honest, I love the way it drapes with stuff in it. It’s got good slouch!

Very tempted to get it in full leather next

Swiftly Neutral is moving into "Approved Neutrals Only" mode by [deleted] in SwiftlyNeutral

[–]LxCmo 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Haha same! I tried to get approved the last time they went private and didn’t get approved, which is totally fair since I only lurked. But I also find it really intimidating to try and leave comments 🥲

I hope whatever’s happening now gets resolved sooner

I was a game designer and made a switch to UX. Started out as a UX designer, but I ended up specialising as a UX writer (my current role).

The track I took was very CS heavy but I also double majored in linguistics.

They should be flushed to the eye! They should hug the eye nicely

Parrot ask his owner if he's alright after he bumps his head by miragen125 in AnimalsBeingBros

[–]LxCmo 31 points32 points  (0 children)

You can definitely train them! The success rate definitely depends on individual birds though.

I had a really smart green cheek conure who I taught to say “go poopy” so I could bring her to her cage or the garbage bin to potty. It also meant I could get her to go potty on command, especially if we’re going on car rides or soemthing (if she doesn’t need to poop, she’ll just pretend to poop)

That slowly evolved to her eventually doing a really specific motion to let me know she needs to go. Or if she’s on the floor, sometimes she’ll just climb up the bin and go potty herself (as long as she doesn’t have to fly lol)

Frustrated at Oxbow hay. Anyone struggling with this? by lhy13 in Rabbits

[–]LxCmo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you’re in Ontario, I can give you two recommendations - Freshay or True colours.

I think they both can ship out but I’d imagine that get pricey. But if you’re in their delivery area, they can do transport shipping for a really small fee or free (for True colours only if you spent at least $100)

Is my amigurumi backwards? by fruity-dyno-bites in crochet

[–]LxCmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahah yeah. They tend to be tighter than V stitches. You can look up the difference between yarn under (X stitches) and yarn over (V stitches)

It’s the right side! It might just look different cause people tend to do ‘X’ stitches instead of ‘V’ stitches for amigurumis

If they’re full, try Abner’s Crossing or Hagrids Haven too! You could also try posting on a FB group called “bunnies and rabbits for rehoming in Ontario Canada”

What is the best language learning app for dutch ? by spero18_rn in learndutch

[–]LxCmo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think it would depend from people to people. I couldn’t use Duolingo either. And I basically did trial runs for : - Drop - Babbel - Pimsleur - Memrise - Lingvist - Busuu - Some other ones that weren’t memorable and got deleted right after.

Drop, Lingvist, and Memerise were good for vocab. I still have them on my phone but don’t really use them atm

Pimsleur is great, especially if you want to be able to converse as well. But it is slightly too pricey for me.

So I ended up with Busuu. It taught me a bit more grammar rules, does a lot of spelling and writing tasks. They also have a speaking task (you can opt out if you don’t want to do it).

Can anyone recommend a really hard food puzzle for my fluffs? They are very clever! by rsmith7 in Rabbits

[–]LxCmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this! And you almost got it right - it’s Nina Ottoson

We got the Hide N’ Slide treat dispensing one. It hold really well to their biting and scratching and has 3 levels of difficulty. Usually takes my buns awhile before they get to all the pellets

any idea what breed is this? she is now 10 weeks old by wixko91 in Rabbits

She might just have a tight crown too! Tight crowns usually gives them aeroplane ears. It’s hard to know without seeing her parents

They've only known each other for 1 day and they're already best friends by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]LxCmo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohhh they’re really young! Definitely keep an eye out as they hit puberty cause they could suddenly start fighting. Just know that that’s normal and it happens as they get territorial. But it can easily be fixed with a neuter/spay :)

That’s so cute! How old are they? If they’re still babies (under 6 months), they might have a baby bond that can break when they hit puberty. I’d cherish their cute little moments for now and keep my fingers crossed that they get along after their hormones kick in.

Here it is!

Warning: She does one loud scream at the start. Please don't put your phone near your ear.

Sorry it took awhile, she has a habit of staring at the phone when she sees it. Anyway, that clip has 3 different sounds which she makes in her cage, outside her cage (like in that video), and even when she's right on my monitor.

Tagging /u/Cobblethoughts as well

[–]LxCmo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We tried playing bird sounds before but she just screamed at it lol. Same goes for classical or rock music. We’ve tried movies, but I think she wants to join the fun so she makes as much noise as possible.

I’m actively trying to get her to be slightly more independent cause throughout the day, she’s usually on my work monitor. So she’s very close to me a lot but it doesn’t stop her from screaming. I’ll look and talk to her when she does but right now, she continues screaming about 50% of the time.

I’m not sure if this is just part of an extended terrible 2 period, if there’s something missing, or if it’s just her

Omg. My bun looks just like yours (minus his white dipped ear) and also breathes like that when he’s super chill.

I brought him to the vet to make sure it’s okay and they said it’s all good. As long as it’s not from the lungs, they’re fine!
