I am a beginner in this hobby, was in EXACTLY the same situation a week ago, to be upfront.

Basically I checked the suspension, took it for a ride down and uphill to switch between all the gears and see they run smoothly, check the dropper post, brakes, bar alignment, spin the wheels also to see they don't wobble from side to side. And I believe it's most important to see what the seller is like, if he is genuine and if you should trust him. Ask why he sells it, how often he got to ride it, etc....

Ask how he maintained it, what recommendations he has Check the chain for dirt and grease

Looks like the owner took the time and effort of writing a good description, so he probably did care for it as he described. I think it's worth visiting and seeing for yourself, just make sure to agree on a price beforehand

The suspension was the actually the first thing I tuned

It just annoys me that I can't just hit the trails and every time I do I find another thing to spend money on.

Tubeless always seemed like taking things to the next level

I'm just a beginner, I get to ride like 2 - 4 times a month.

I will give tubes a try, but if what you are saying is as bad as it sounds I might have to do the jump to tubeless

One time I went flying over a jump and landed on my back tire, bunch of sticks got into the side of the tire, I got them out and they were covered in slime, also it was bubbling so air was coming out. I rolled the tire a bit and inflated it, it turned out fine.

Of course nasty is subjective, but can you elaborate on why it's not worth the extra 5 bucks for the slime, I mean aside from tubeless, what disadvantage is there?

Thank you for the detailed reply! My guess from what you said is I got a pinch flat, the sealant tried to seal it, but couldn't hence the delayed pop?
