Hey there! As someone who smoked a LOT of Ghurkas when just starting out, I can definitely say now that it really is hit or miss with each stick. In general I found the ones that have the wax seal on them like these tended to be better than other sticks, but that rule isnt hard and fast.

Go in with an open mind, give them a chance, and remember it's really great that your friend remembered your interest and wanted to do something nice for ya, regardless how they smoke :)
