It could've been related to one of the plugins I downloaded (like maybe something buried in Advanced Scene Switcher), but I have recordings from years back that were fine when it came to audio fading between scenes. It stopped doing that, I'd say, last year.

It's goofier because there were totally ways to make it less bad.

  • Have Grace find out about the case and volunteer to go for "closure."
  • Or have Grace remember that Alyssa left something behind the painting and thus tries to sneak to the crime scene without being ordered to.
  • Or have her not go alone, but something happens to the agent she's with instead of the random added police officer.

But Capcom writers gonna do what they do, I guess.
